Pretty simple and straightforward

Do you believe that your side is capable of lying!

It is an extremely EXTREMELY rate person who never lies.

1. Some lie to harm others. These are the most vile of people.

2. Some lie to prosper themselves. Also not at all commendable especially when it is at the expense of others.

3. Some lie to protect themselves from being identified as guilty or doing wrong or making mistakes or whatever. Perhaps not commendable, but more understandable.

4. And some lie to protect the innocent or for a greater good. Not only can be justifiable but commendable; at least forgivable.

If we can agree on those four points, then we can sort out whether Democrats or Republicans or other are more or less likely to lie in one or more of those circumstances.

I would assume (and I do assume) that almost every person who has ever lived in any society has had some occasion to lie.

I recall many years back when I was in junior high and home with an injury. My grandparents were visiting. She was wearing a weird looking “house dress” and was in curlers and fuzzy old slippers.

For some reason I never understood, she asked me how she was looking. I lied my ass off. I said, “you look great, grandma.”

Jimmy Carter said he wouldn’t lie to the American people. But even he did then lie.

Dr. House often shared his view that “everybody lies.”

I agree. Everybody does lie from time to time. Some anymore than others. So only the very ignorant or delusional would deny that their political party sometimes lies.

I think Obama was in that class but that's just my opinion there certainly hasn't been a good democrat in between those two and unless Newsome or someone I know nothing about is another JFK I do not see one on the horizon either but this is about why I was forced to vote no in the poll it just took off in another direction.
