Zone1 Does this bother Catholics?

Does this?
Palestinians lived there for 2,000 years

Palestinians lived there for 2,000 years
Abraham lived there before that. It is the only property on this earth that God deeded to a human since Adam. Abraham and God sat in front of the campfire with His friend, and made promises about that land and Abraham's son Isaac. There were no Muslims, no "Palestinians", and was quite a bit larger than the sliver the British < Because it was theirs to give, and it was deserted when they gave it to the descendants of Issac. And if you follow the journey to its conclusion, Jesus sets up His throne on that land, and God Himself is going to spend eternity, right there on that land. Trying to take that 1% of the land that doesn't belong to the Muslims, from the Jews, is going to start a war.

Where the hell are they????

Hasselquist, Clemens and every one else writes that the Holy Land is “uncultivated and almost uninhabited."

Well, some mosques like the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem has a meeting room for the Knights Templar in it, so maybe this isn't so rare and crazy an event as you think?

There's actually a LOT of evidence that many top Nazis including maybe Hitler himself actually made it down to Argentina.

My wife is from South America and she is skeptical of conspiracy theories in general, but even she believes it is very likely true (Hitler).

it's a bona fide fact however that many Nazis did go there.

The Reichskonkordat is a treaty between the Vatican and Nazi Germany signed on July 20, 1933, by Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli (later Pope Pius XII) and German Vice Chancellor Franz von Papen. It guaranteed the rights of the Catholic Church in Germany but effectively neutralized political Catholic opposition to Adolf Hitler’s regime. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Key Details & Timeline
  • Signing Date: July 20, 1933
  • Architects: Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli (Vatican Secretary of State) and Franz von Papen (German Vice Chancellor).
  • Preceding Events: Hitler became Chancellor on January 30, 1933. Shortly after, the Catholic Centre Party supported the Enabling Act, giving Hitler quasi-dictatorial powers. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Terms of the Agreement
  • Concessions by the Vatican: The Church agreed to forbid clergy from engaging in political party activities and officially recognized the Nazi regime. [1, 2]
  • Concessions by Nazi Germany: The state guaranteed the freedom to practice the Catholic religion, the operation of Catholic schools, and the protection of church property. [1]

Historical Impact & Controversy
  • Legitimacy for the Nazis: The treaty was a major diplomatic victory for Hitler, helping to consolidate his internal power by removing Catholic opposition and giving moral legitimacy to the new regime on the international stage. [1, 2, 3]
  • Nazi Violations: The Nazi regime breached the concordat almost immediately via continuous harassment of Catholic organizations, youth groups, and clergy. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Right. Because "Guaranteeing the rights of your Church to protect the rights of Christians within in an authoritarian regime" is bad?

And newsflash: Guess who else had treaties with Germany in 1933? The entire free world. Great Britain had treaties with Germany all the way up until past 1940.

You can just simply state you do not like the Catholic Church - you do not need to post easily refutable nonsense to do it.

He criticizes us and accommodates Muslims.
The Vatican has been accused of being pro Nazi during the war and even that they helped some Nazis escape to South America. I don't know if that is true or not, but it seems to me that the Pope has made his choice in the next war...

Not at all. The Pope was welcomed with open arms when visiting Muslim countries. I believe almost every Pope in modern history has been.

It is Jesus Christ's most important teaching of "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF" put into action.

It should be applauded. And if you are Catholic or a Christian and you are judging the Church because of this, remember what is written:

"Do Not Judge or You Will Be Judged, By the Same Measure You Judge Others, You too will be Judged."

If it continues to bother you, say a humble prayer and ask God to help you understand it.

The verdict: The Vatican Apostolic Library does indeed allow Muslims a room for prayer. But, importantly, it does not appear to be a generally accessible Islamic prayer space but rather one designated for the “Muslim scholars” that may be on site at the time. Further, it was only opened at the request of scholars themselves.

And though it is understandable that a Muslim prayer room in the Holy See may inspire a bit of cognitive dissonance, the vice prefect of the Vatican Apostolic Library describes the space as nothing more than “a room with a carpet.”

Amid the sensational news coverage, Britain’s Daily Mail may have said it best when it reported, simply: “The Vatican has granted Muslim scholars’ request for a prayer room.”

Not nearly as "controversial" when you look at the facts. They are essentially accommodating Muslim scholars who are there studying who must pray a certain points during the day as part of their faith.

Anyone who has been to the Vatican would understand that the Library is largely underground/secluded - and nowhere near anything Catholics would deem a "Holy Place" of worship.

It would be the equivalent of living in a very small town with a a very large church and a library. And allowing students to use ONE smaller room in the library so they can pray a few times a day.

So, it sounds like you totally support the Zionist effort to eradicate all evidence of Yeshua and Christianity from the “Holy Land”

Is that right?

I believe that all Christians should pray for him because I believe that a massive awakening is happening in all religions that to at least some degree is being driven by near death experience accounts by people in all nations and in all religions.

These near death experience accounts are profoundly HUMBLING though and they force us to admit that we are deeply dependent on healing and assistance from heaven or we will fall into serious temptation.

I do believe that for the moment Pope Leo is making an error....
but I have made lots of errors myself and I ended up learning a lot from what Jesus showed me after I made those errors.

As I mentioned earlier, I have not done the in depth, but I've done enough to know, neither have you. One would have to get into the government rulers and what their positions were. For example, someone had the responsibility for the safety of Vatican City--probably more than one someone. Keeping Vatican City safe and with its own rule/power was/is paramount especially in the time of war. Second, Vatican City tries to stay neutral with all the world's governments.

As you can see, Vatican City has been criticized for not saying enough regarding World War II. Versus: Vatican City has been criticized for saying too much about the Iran war. The primary purpose of the Vatican is spiritual welfare, not political welfare, and you can imagine that's quite a tight rope to navigate. As I am not all that interested in the politics of the Vatican, I know the bare minimum--just enough to know most people do not bother to go very far in depth about what Vatican City was doing during WWII. It was doing far more than you are willing to accept, but there is still the question of should they have done more?

Neither Jesus nor any of the Apostles were involved in the politics of their time. Further, while being thrown to the lions (and other animals) did happen, it was far less than the later hype made it out to be.
Neither Jesus nor any of the Apostles were involved in the politics of their time

Wait...............wut? Jesus and the Apostles were martyred due to the politics of their time as they were targeted by both the religious authority of the Sanhedrin and the Romans specifically because of trying to maintain political power.

And they were not willing to bow their knee to them by keeping silent.

Try again.

Why won't you admit that it was a moral failing to not pubicly denounce the Holocaust, sacrificing their material possessions and perhaps their very lives as a result?

As for not going political, the Vatican does it all the time. For example, I will forever have this image of the Pope burned in my brain.

Can you ever picture Jesus or the apostles blessing a block of ice due to global warming? And no, building border walls is not a sin as the Vatican has tried to claim, especially since the entire book of Nehemiah is dedicated to someone doing just that to defend Jerusalem. These are examples of how the Vatican is being political as they stick their finger up to determine the political swaying of the world and trying to hop on board for their own preservation within it. It is akin to Peter denying Christ 3 times in order to preserve his life at one time.

One option for all Christians is to learn from a group of Charismatic Pastors and Priests in Cali, Colombia who went up in a helicopter and poured anointed olive oil on their city. This reaching out to Jesus to help them resulted in a massive spiritual awakening in Cali, Colombia.

Cali, went from being one of the most dangerous cities on earth to being a lot safer for everybody who lived there. We all need to call on heaven. Tourists to the Vatican can pray over olive oil..... anoint their shoes... .and walk around... and consecrate the Vatican to the honour of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus and ask for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Vatican, [and on all nations as well]?

Kissing the ass of Hitler and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem boyh genocidal killers and lets not forget how the Vatican defended priests molesting children when we discuss the morality of the Catholic Church.

Jesus and the apostles were martyred due to their religious beliefs not their political beliefs. Or, which political belief do you have in mind that they suffered and died over?

The earth is the Lord's and everything in it. We are to take care of it. Would you prefer someone curse the block of ice?

At that time they were the same

I understand that people were expected the follow the religion of their ruler(s). They were martyred over not following the religion of Caesar. Or, are you of the opinion that the Roman empire was correct in putting to death those who followed Jesus' teachings?

There was no real science to establish facts religion and government were merged into one

.
The Catholic Church has a history of antisemitism. While chiding America, no such judgment on Muslim terror is made by the Pope other than a generic, "we should all get along." and Pope Leo said that Lebanon can offer Europe and North America a lesson in dialogue and friendship between Christians and Muslims.
The Pope may need to be reminded of Genesis 16:12.

This is a patriotism slight of my country for me and not so much religious. Like standing on our border and condemning it, while doubling down security on the Vatican wall...
