Long ago I worked for GOPer candidates who talked sternly about deficits and debt then voted for more and more. I quit them in 2004 and have never looked back. One can only hope for the day when DC looks like the Roman forum looks now.

Its not just the GOP democrats added the same if not more to the $35T Debt.
Look at the recent budgets, democrats insisted on continuing resolutions so the Budget couldn't be cut.

1. and 2. represent the "two Santa Claus theory" embraced by Reagan as an economic plan.

Except for raising taxes, the dimocraps have not campaigned on any sort of fiscal responsibility and debt reductions. That is why I don't bring those bastards up.

Especially the Federal Government is a massive gamble for citizens.

But you are making my point. The only reason why "Idaho" even exists is because of Federal services. It most certainly isn't economically viable on its own. It needs roads and farm subsidies to even be halfway liveable.

This is a problem for most Americans. I ask about Federal Taxes and they reply back stuff about local and state taxes. In general the states fare far better at this game than the Feds do. War is a major job of the Feds. And it seems you are pleased with wars.

The only reason why "Idaho" even exists is because of Federal services. It most certainly isn't economically viable on its own. It needs roads and farm subsidies to even be halfway liveable.

That is not true. Idaho has very well managed the budget here. And it included the State returning taxes to citizens. The roads here are surprising to me since I was used to CA roads but they are outstanding. I can't speak about farm subsidies here but you can't either.
Idaho is so well managed by Republicans it really has so few problems the news discusses weather a hell of a lot.
