Does CNN realize we are a Christian nation?

We were not founded as a Christian Nation.

The people who say we were “founded”
as a Christian nation are perpetuating the white {billionaire subsidized} Republican Party’s Christian nationalist myth that America was founded in a COVENANT with the Biblical God of Abraham for the salvation of mankind through the sacrifice of his Son’s Virgin birth and subsequent death on the Cross and resurrection. …~… None of that sin and salvation stuff has anything to do with the actual founding and/or governing of the United States of America. ~ whut I said to St.TIM May 30, 2024#134 cvnnt
They'd be happy with a MAGA version of a Christian theocracy -- since they only cosplay Christianity for political advantage, they're just interested in the authoritarian elements of it.

The sincere Christians could probably tell them how real theocracies don't turn out well.

---White Christian nationalists are poised to remake America in their image during Trump’s second term---

Follow Trumpfy's lead and opt for the Uniparty approach .
Have at least three uniforms ready -- one Christian , one Jewish and one suitable for a Freemason .

Follow the Scouting maxim and , Be Prepared .

'cosplay Christinaity' is a truly accurate phrase.

Yes, a secular nation of Christians without any preference at all.

were not secular either. We are a nation that has the freedom to choose to be religious or not. I'm not suggesting that the US has Christianity as its national religion, that would be unconstitutional. I'm merely saying that, as a whole, Christianity is the majority religion in the country, and that is why we are called a Christian nation.

No, the 'nation' does not have that power. The Constitution forbids it.

We are generally a nation of Christians with a secular government.

That's what I just said

Where do you get that we are secular? Many of the founders were religious, we've adopted "im God we trust" as our national motto. There is nothing in the cotus that says religion can't be in government. It only says that government can't establish a national religion.

The Constitution is secular, therefore our government is secular.

It was her business, until she got knocked up through her, and the mans careless action, and her body is not the one being killed, it's a separate one. You are a ghoul, you care more about raping, murdering, wife beating, human trafficking, gang banging illegal immigrants than you do babies
Deflection, deflection, deflection. You are no more moral than MagicMike. Just stop.

Talk about dehumanizing babies. In order to assuage your guilt, now you refer to it as “an unwanted mistake”?!
That's correct.
And news flash - in 99% of the cases, it wasn’t a mistake.
I don't believe it.
It was the laziness and irresponsibility of the woman that resulted in a pregnancy. Expect in a very minute percentage of cases, the woman didn’t use birth control.
Same answer as above.
I know someone pregnant with her fifth child, and she’s still in her 20s. She continues to use the rhythm method and insists it works.
Nobody cares.

the founders adopted nation motto E pluribus enum aka out of many one.
It was 1956 that congress changed it to, in God we trust.

And?

That quote was from the DoI, so I mentioned Jefferson.

Get over it Tory. Your accusation was false and stupid.
So, your comment was completely off topic because the thread is about religion, which is covered in the First Amendment, which Jefferson had nothing to do with.

"Our" creator. It's right there in the quote. Jefferson and his contemporaries. Americans' creator.

Does that ring a bell?

The Declaration of Independence refers to “Nature’s God” that is a creator God who never ever revealed himself to mankind in a holy book for his son to die on a cross for the universal sins of mankind.

George Washington was a Freemason. Again, for that reason, George Washington cannot be referred to as a Christian.
