Does CNN realize we are a Christian nation?

ThisIsMe Post #277 Jun 02, 2025 …~… Christianity is the predominant religion in America. We have the right to whatever religion, or no religion at all, but in the eyes of the world, america is a Christian nation.

whut I say Post #279 to #277 …~… I do not see why “the eyes of the world” should have bearing on my spiritually, morality and civic obligations to my countrymen.

Christianity was not always the predominant religion. The founding generation was less than 20% Cristian:

Washington was a Freemason. It’s impossible that the father of our country was a Christian.

kinda they are. Religion has been in the founding of our country, many of our founders were religious. Even our nations motto "In God we trust" has been reaffirmed over the years, with bipartisan support. It's on our money, and its posted in both yhe senate and house chambers. It's even encouraged to be posted in government buildings, schools, etc.

Yes, we have no laws establishing a religion, but religion has been around in our country from the beginning. That religion has been predominately Christianity.

Our law is secular not religious. Period. The government normally has nothing to do with religious organizations. You can believe in human sacrifice, you just can't practice it.

whut I say Post #289 to #1 …~… if being a Christian in America is a good thing then being pro choice on the abortion issue has to be a good thing. Is that what you mean? St,Lenny?

We are a secular nation, with about 40% of the citizens as identifying as Christian.

In no way in law are we a Christian nation.

In this country of ours, being a Christian is a good thing. In this country of ours, being a nationalist is a good thing. CNN tries to paint this as if it's a bad thing.

We stopped being that the moment we started electing people willing to engage in rank corruption in Washington.

"White Nationalists?"

You realize you play into the left's hands when you talk like that, right? The KKK is dead. Let's keep it that way.

Any law that respects freedom of religion is not secular.

It is also not secular when its original authors acknowledge a God or a "creator" in the Preamble of the Constitution.

Naturally, a society takes on the nature of those who first founded it and authored its initial precepts.

Again, I understand that we have no laws, but the US has always been known as a Christian nation. This doesn't mean everyone is Christian, just that the majority religion here is Christianity.

It does not respect religion at all. It protects you to believe in religion. Even our Courts say the states cannot subsidize religious schools.

Yes, a secular nation of Christians without any preference at all.

Can you define "Christian Nation" for us?

Yes, please do so, lenny.

We were not founded as a Christian Nation.

The people who say we were “founded”
as a Christian nation are perpetuating the white {billionaire subsidized} Republican Party’s Christian nationalist myth that America was founded in a COVENANT with the Biblical God of Abraham for the salvation of mankind through the sacrifice of his Son’s Virgin birth and subsequent death on the Cross and resurrection. …~… None of that sin and salvation stuff has anything to do with the actual founding and/or governing of the United States of America. ~ whut I said to St.TIM May 30, 2024#134 cvnnt
