 Which one of those statements is false? I have heard the right make all of them.
Come on PJ. Don't play this game. You're better than that.
While in Vietnam Kerry shot himself to get a purple heart.
No one ever said he shot himself. What is now established fact (the guy he pulled out of the water says so) is that he inadvertently wounded himself with a grenade.
Then he jumped off his boat in wild craze and proceeded to burn down a village with a Zippo, but not before shooting a little girl.
He himself testified to lighting straw huts afire with his zippo.
The person he allegedly shot was a teenage boy who had first fired at him and then turned to flee. I don't recall a single Republican arguing against that action. The objections to an action such as that arise solely from the left.
He then tried to flee from gunfire like a coward, which knocked off one of his crewman. He then continued to flee, but decided to go back for the guy. All the while the supposed witness was just watching.
A subsurface mine below an adjacent boat caused a concussion which knocked a soldier from Kerry's boat. In a panic, and not knowing he had lost a man, Kerry thinking they were under fire shot off down the river. After realizing they were not actually under fire, and that they had lost a man overboard, Kerry returned his boat to the location where the other boats still were. The other boats were fishing men out of the river from the boat that had been hit. He went and helped the man who had fallen from his boat back into the craft.
Kerry singlehandedly lengthened all the imprisionment of POWs and increased their torture for giving one of a million anti-war speeches given at the time.
Lengthend? Increased?
What has been reported by POW's is that they were forced to listen to Kerry's '71 testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee. They were then tortured and told to admit to committing the atrocities Kerry had accused every U.S. soldier of.
Kerry met with Jane Fonda in Hanoi
Fonda went to Hanoi. Her exploits there are well documented and dispicable.
Kerry met with North Vietnamese officials in France.
Kerry and the VVAW were nothing but puppets of Hanoi
Kerry met with North Vietnamese officials in France. Their goals were the same. The complete and immeadiate unconditional withdrawal of all U.S. forces from South Vietnam.
Kerry was really dishonorably discharged, but for some reason the military documents do not say that
The conditions of Kerry's discharge are unknown.
According to records Kerry received an honorable discharge in the late 70's. Years after his duty was complete and the war was over.
