Do you wonder why McConnell decided to get out of the dems way in passing their 3.5T bill?

Dems will remove the filibuster is the big threat.

How funny would it be if they do that……and then lose the house and the senate next year? :auiqs.jpg: :hyper:

Well it won't matter then because nothing passes without the potus.

But Trump could have repealed Obamacare with 51 votes in his first two years if McConnell dumped the filibuster, and you can bet your buster he'd have done it. LOL

Democrats to commit publicly to raising the statutory borrowing limit by a specific amount. That dollar figure will almost assuredly be used in campaign ads against Democratic incumbents ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

Democrats also will need to vote again later this year to raise the debt ceiling. That timing could plow into continued wrestling over a bipartisan infrastructure bill and the Democrats’ efforts to enact trillions of dollars in social spending. McConnell’s maneuver this week could prove advantageous for his party.
Your thread title is pure bullshit

This is kicking the can down the road on the debt ceiling increase.

It has ZERO to do with the 3.5 T package

You're starting to sound like a Trumper. Mitch the Bitch isn't getting out of anyone's way over anything.

He'll filibuster the 3.5 as well as the debt ceiling

Well actually I'm a centrist. But its now on Schumer to get the votes for this pig from now until Dec. I'm betting he can't. And Pelosi doesn't have them either.

Americans just aren't going to be for giving direct transfer cash benefits to families making 75K and more. HC esp for kids, yeah. Making sure there's after school care .. sure. But not paying them to not work, or work less, or just deciding its "only fair" for them to make more.
