This is where the idiocy of the Trump enablers is most on display.
One needs to realize that for President, there isn’t one election, there are in fact over 50 elections. One for each state and DC gets 3 electoral votes.
To “rig” an election’s outcome one would have to reach the secretaries of state in enough states to garner 270 electoral votes. Given that these persons are individual contractors with no ties to your administration and are often of different political parties (to say nothing of political philosophies or may be single issue persons who simply don’t like you based on one stand), that is a nearly impossible feat in and of itself.
Then there is the supposed voter fraud angle. I dismiss it outright even though I fully support (as long as the ID is free) any initiative that forces you to show a valid voter ID card when you cast a ballot. The technology is cheap and readily available so why not employ it to make our elections as sterile as possible??? That being said, there is not enough voter fraud to change any state wide election, if it were an issue, the GOP would be losing every border state by wide margins given that is where most of the illegal aliens are, and such accusations fail to explain why the GOP does so well in off year elections.
Incredibly large areas of red there. Funny how the voter fraud never seems to occur in individual congressional districts.
Finally, it if were true, you’d never have a state where the democrat won the state and the GOP held on to the Senate seat. I mean, why not give the President those votes as well? It happens all the time (as well as vice versa to where the democrat wins the Senate seat but the state is Red).
So, no, nothing is rigged. The media cares about one thing (outside of FOX, MSNBC, and Al Jazeera), getting eyeballs on it’s broadcast platforms any way they can. This election has never been very close and Trump has never lead in any reputable poll.
