Do you think Business will start moving out of England?

I don't have a horse in the race, therefore I don't really care. I hope it works out for them, but none of my business.

If you're American, it's your business. The UK is the US's Robin when going around invading people. If the UK can't afford to do it, you're on your own.

Is it the UK, or Canada's business what we do with our economic system?

What the people of the UK choose to do is their decision, who I am to tell them they're wrong? We'd get pissed if another nation came and told us what to do (and we do all of the time).

There's a difference between a country making its own decisions and something being the business of someone else.

If an American person trades with the UK then it is the American person's business what is going on. They don't have a say in what happens, but it's still their business.

You seem to be equating something being someone's business as them having a say in that business.

All this shit about France being able to turn off the lights.

France bought power plants when they were privatized.

What can be privatized can be renationalized and France can suck hind tit.

The Frogs are arrogant but they are not Democrat Paety grade stupid.

I did not mean the word "business" from a financial stand point, but from a figurative stand point, as if somebody tells you to "mind your own business".

We in a global economy-of course it will affect us in some fashion.

UK Treasury chief tries to calm fears over 'Brexit' fallout

LONDON — Britain’s Treasury chief sought Monday to ease concerns about the vote to leave the European Union, saying the economy is as strong as it could be to face the uncertainty — even as a survey showed many companies are looking to move business out of the country.

The pound hit a new 31-year record low, dropping another 3.3 percent to $1.3227. Stock markets also declined across Europe.

Osborne pledged not to impose a new austerity budget — even though he said during the campaign that one would be necessary if voters chose to leave the EU. He said another budget would be the task of Cameron’s successor.

What else will change once England leaves?

England will now have tariffs on it's goods.

Raw material will cost more. Of course these things will cost jobs.

People will need passports to visit other countries in Europe.

They will no longer be able to live anywhere they want in Europe.

Their movement and where they live will be restricted. England will no longer get EU dollars for science and research. It's scientists will no longer be able to move about Europe without permission.

And Scotland and Wales are talking about dissolving an agreement they've had for 300 years. That could mean that the English will need a passport to visit those countries.

Remember what Conservatives did to this country under Bush?

Every single person under the sun, from experts to God, warned this would be a mistake and still fear won. Sadly, business's will thrive with the pound being so cheap at this point...especially outside interest, like Trump and once again only the elite, whom they sought to marginalize, will benefit. What people must understand that voting on emotions, never pan out. The only people who will suffer as always when voting out of emotion and fear are the very people that bought into the shit. Had they paid attention to our political reality show, they would have gotten clues....2 years ago, the mindless voted on for a majority GOP house and got nothing for their votes. All of those politicians play the fear card and to date, our borders are still open and we've yet to see all these good paying jobs they promised.

How hilarious to use fear to rail against fear.

What the hell more do you want from the government you are not getting? Has congress not given you some freebie you have been wishing for?

Yes, the tolerant and educated left shows it's colors with a well put together post.

You seem to forget, they won't have all the oppressive regulations visited upon them by the bureaucrats at the EU, I'd say that's a pretty big equalizer. At this time nothing has changed since the vote, I don't understand all the hand wringing.

It's ironic that people who claim to be "tolerant" aren't tolerant of those with opposing views.

PS: The word "tolerant" bugs the shit out of me when people use to look holier than thou. It implies that you put up with something, but on some level it bothers you. How using the word "accepting" instead?

Nothing is going to change. This is just fear mongering by the establishment. The establishment and the new world order took a big hit with this vote, and they don't like it. So every downturn in the economy will be blamed on the English people choosing freedom from the globalists.

The reason for the vote to go the way it went is because of what is going on in Britain. The economy is going into the dumper and the invasion that they can't control is out of control.

But now it will all be blamed on a vote for freedom.
Do tell of what invasion the Brits had going on? You can't get into that country without a fuckin passport, so do tell what invasion that had going on or shut the fuck up!!

Illegal migrants flood in: 18,000 are now sneaking into UK every year

Although England is not one of them, a passport is not required to be shown when traveling in the EU.
So immigration scare tatics were a waste of time, no? Illegals will always find a way in...that's no reason to cut yourself off from the world stage, no?

I am not certain what Bush had to do with Brexit--LOL

The biggest problem the UK has, is that since 1976 they have been totally dependent on the 27 member countries aka the EU. The UK is a consumer country and I can't think of a thing that it manufactures, drills for, or grows. No agriculture or farming, no energy that isn't shared with other member countries, so I doubt they'll be any tariffs placed. Even France, has control over their electricity, so they can turn on and off their lights whenever they want too.

They are in no way like the United States, where we can give the world the middle finger, and we would still eat and have energy to heat our homes. But that's why the EU was formed in the first place. To be be able to compete with the U.S.

When our dollar goes down, our exports take off to pull in the slack. The pound is getting pounded meaning that UK citizens will be paying a lot more for every day necessities. This means inflation. This definitely isn't going to go over easy, it's just the start.

As far as business's leaving the U.K. If it gets bad for them, they are going to move where business is better. When they move they normally don't take their employees with them. It's not rocket science.

The UK has shared health care and education costs with 27 other countries. Now UK citizens living in one of the member countries will be chased back home to forge for themselves. They've opened quite a can of worms. This means austerity eventually, to lower government spending, even though their requirements for spending on health care and education, and now border control will be more.

I think this was a knee jerk protest vote, that the citizens of the UK did. They didn't pay attention to the consequences of such action, and I believe they'll soon be regretting that vote. While I understand that every nation should be self reliant, and deserve their sovereignty, they certainly didn't plan in advance for this.

I expect a pretty good train wreck out of this one.
Bush sold America a bill of goods and we were suckers for believing him.

Republicans are walking with eyes wide open into an even worse scam than what happened under Bush.

What in the hell does Bush have to do with Brexit or this thread?

The point is--why doesn't the UK have their own power supply and power plants? Because they belonged to the EU is why. So they formed an agreement to be supplied by France.

The problem then becomes what happens now, since the Brits have voted to opt out of the EU. So the Brits nationalize an investment that France made to retrieve their power sources. What do you think that would do to their relations, and especially when France has the FOOD.

It's a total can of worms, and it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

World stage? Do you mean the establishment? The New World Order? The Globalists? Yes, I can see plenty of reasons not to have "them" decide what is best for the UK.

EU referendum: Moody's cut UK's credit outlook to 'negative' - BBC News

That wasn't liberals nitwit.

How sad for the UK that their credit rating is now as low as the US, thanks to Obama and his Chinese credit card.

How is it that the UK's credit problem is the source of Obama and the Chinese credit card?

I was making a comparision to the UK's credit rating. The world is acting as if Brexit is the end of the world. While their creidt rating has been lowered it is now the same as the US, thanks to Obama who has been the president for the last 8 years. I hope that isn't a surprise to you.

No that doesn't surprise me that the UK has the debt, I just couldn't figure out how you were relating their debt problems to ours.
