That would make sense. Exericize for kids is critical to overcome this sugar. Think of a 1 year old puppy and how much energy they have. That's what kids need, no question in my opinion.
In grade school, we used to have a 2 kilometre run that involves the side streets, probably something they wouldn't allow today due to risks and insurance. However, we would sometimes have competitions where we would collect stickers for school gear, which was pretty nice and I could use a new shirt, shorts and cap being poor.
I would wake up at 6 am, might have breakfast, sometimes wouldn't. I would sometimes run the 2k three long laps of the route BEFORE school even began.
I left the school with the second best 2km time in its history. We would also play sports after school and on weekends. Summer was insane. Baseball and hockey were the main sports. Sometimes literally 10 hours a day. I played so much that when one group of kids left, I'd play with the next group.
This is what kids need. Even if they have a subpar diet, they can overcome it with activity.
