Zone1 Do you know the Old Catholic Church?

Is this the one without the black market baby racket, pedophile priests, vicious/angry nuns, and executive clergy that wants to destroy the world?

Yeah its called the roman empire.

Indeed it is. First Rome built the NT. Then Rome "fell" then the catholic church took over and stabilized Europe and preserved roman knowledge and influence. Thats the "old" catholic church.

FWIW, after 76 years as a Roman Catholic, I've never heard of it.

It's sort of a logical contradiction. The essence of Catholic belief is that there is only one true Christian Church, and the RC church, being descended from Peter and the Apostles, is it. To split off and still say you are "Catholic" makes no sense.

The catholic church was the Roman Empire. IDC about a small amount of moonbats that broke away from it.
This thread isn't about the HRCC. This thread is about a church that splintered from the HRCC. Don't act like you knew what this thread was about. If you knew what this thread was about then your first post would have been, "The catholic church was the Roman Empire. IDC about a small amount of moonbats that broke away from it."

I think they took that name to indicate that they were being true to old traditions and that the HRCC was not.

I think people can get distracted by the form of religion and sometimes place more weight on it than they should.

This church is quite rare and little known

Not exactly.

Church Fathers
Church Fathers are influential early Christian theologians and writers from roughly the 1st to 8th centuries, like Augustine, Jerome, John Chrysostom, and Athanasius, who shaped Christian doctrine, defended the faith, and established foundational teachings, bridging early traditions with later Church developments, often categorized as Apostolic, Ante-Nicene, and Post-Nicene fathers. They provided theological depth, spiritual guidance, and pastoral care, creating a rich legacy for both Eastern and Western Christianity.
