More like getting up at 3am and picking up your haul....then driving for 6 hrs.....then off-loading your haul at the distribution warehouse for 4-6 hrs and then driving another 6-8 hrs to your next haul contract...or going home and doing it all over again the next day. If you like working 16-20 hrs a day.....go for it.

Lots of truck companies require you to operate the tail lift or help move around packages in the container.
Not every one of those jobs would be for you, you could end up tweaking your back,and plus then hoping in and out of the cab and up and down the steps, one slip and you could really jar your back.

Though, maybe consider being a driver for a uniform company. thers sorting out and paperwork involved wich you would be good at, and potentially with your experience you could move up into a supervisor role.

Prison guard no. You would be complaining about it here a lot.

They have eldercare and babysitting sites too but usually it's not just for ada they want a more long term commitment. That would be something you would have to be fully committed to. Whereas, pet sitting and house sitting are temp.

Yes I know. I have had 3 suicides and a murder in my family I get it. Plus we had a 2nd murder but it was just a friend of my moms band.

They need home care people all the time. Thats a good one. I have an elderly step mother in Los Angeles who is always complaining because a lot of the people she gets are just hired through temp services and dont even want to be there. many of them have criminal records and dont give a shit, argue with her.. one of them locked her in the car screaming at her... ran over her foot with the wheel chair and spent all her time on the cell phone instead of cooking her meals... yes! you could do this.

Well lots of elderly need someone to do their shopping for them, pick up meds at the pharmacy or just escort them to these places so they can safely get out of the house. As long as you care and have a lot of patience, you can do very well here.
If you're an impatient person though, you'll end up not liking it. many elderly people can be a little difficult and you just have to be able to look past it and care about them. It depends on your personality.

I owned 2 UPS stores that both did sub medicore, I am not good at business at all, I have difficulty communicating or talking to people and I am a medicore student.
Do you guys think Truck driving or being a prison guard might be ok. I have chronic back problems now with my DDD

your back would never withstand the rigors and bumps and movements

your like near 50 right....little too old to start guarding criminals
