Sounds like code for a bad marriage.

In Italy they eat spaghetti with a fork by twirling the pasta into a tight ball and bringing it your mouth.
Using a spoon against the end of the fork is also acceptable.
But cutting the pasta with a knife is considered uncouth and barbaric.
I know you were being facetious, but seriously, I paid for the noodles, I will eat them however I want. I'd tell the guidos to stuff it.

I don't understand all this knife talk. Are humans not born with teeth anymore?

I’m surprised a majority cut

Why not just twirl it with your fork? It’s spaghetti….

I've vacationed in Italy.
If you ordered a plate of spaghetti at a local restaurant and started cutting the pasta with a knife.
The owner and staff would so offended.
They'd physically toss you out of the restaurant for disrespecting the national dish of Italy.
I would cut the spaghettis all the same. 😎

Break it before you boil it.
I do both. In my defense mom cooked creole and slavic, not italian. I discovered I had been eating a form of Czech ghoulash when I was young - brought back tears remembering mom's cooking.
