Your attitude is stupid anyway - why don't you pay for your own roads? Your own police? Your own fire department? America IS a socialist democracy - including all the massive tax breaks in our tax code that subsidize employer provided healthcare, retirement savings, all kind of other benefits. And I've been self-employed too - I know all about how the self-employed work the tax code to pay almost nothing relative to actual income by maximizing every kind of deduction.
You live in a society that benefits you; you have an obligation to others. Unless you're in your 80s/90s, you're gonna live to see universal healthcare. Suck it up, buttercup.
