Do USMB Republicans understand yesterday's House GOP "humiliation"?

Thank God For those Republicans who shut down that bill.

We don't need to legalize any illegals.

We need to make them leave the country either through forced or self deportations.

Make it so they can't find work, housing, education, or medical and they will leave.

Take away their benefits and they will leave.

Confiscate the money they send south of the border as gains from criminal enterprises, they will leave.

Change the law that their children are not Citizens upon birth in the U.S. if they have a parent who is here illegally.

Hey, you are in favor of arresting the employers of the illegals and prosecuting them. No matter who the employer is or how much they give to a political party. Right?

So why haven't the Republicans in Congress proposed a bill to do just that?

The law already mandates stiff fines for every illegal found working without the proper papers, but the Obama administration shows no interest in prosecuting such cases. What is going to force Obama to enforce a new law if Congress passes one?

House Republicans yell and scream and complain that nothing is being done.

Then they right a bill to do something.

And promptly take a five week vacation without voting ON THEIR OWN BILL!?!?!?!

The GOP is right about one thing. There is a total lack of leadership in Washington. And they are doing NOTHING to fill the void.

The House has over 350 bills they have written, debated and passed, many of them on bipartisan votes that are gathering dust on Harry Reid's desk. The House does their job or representing their constituents. Harry Reid is a one many government obstructionist. 350+ bills to conduct the people's business sitting on Reid's desk. Look it up for yourself if you don't believe me.

How many Democratic bills gather dust because they do not have 60 votes to pass cloture

Why should Republican bills be any different?

Did I say Republican bills? I said House bills. Many with bipartisan votes of 420 yes to 5 no. Are their 350 Senate bills sitting on Boehner's desk? No? I'd say the Senate might want to start doing their job with all the House bills if they want the House to consider the few they want addressed. The media won't tell you the truth, but the Senate is the hold up in Congress, not the other way around. Do a little research and you'll find that to be true. Go ahead, I dare you. The truth will set you free. Of course you might not be liberal anymore, but free nonetheless.

still haven't figured out politics have you ?

After a month of posturing that immigration was a crisis and swift action was called for......Boehner does nothing and takes a 5 week vacation

Not only that, these guys keep screaming "it's all about immigration". It's about refugee status under their law that Bush signed in 2002 and again in 2008.

It's like them screaming about "voter ID" when their voter suppression tactics are much more broad and damaging.

If they can scream the loudest, they believe they are controlling the narrative by limiting the conversation to their talking points.

Besides, we need children that grow into adults who actually like to learn. It will offset some of the terrible damage perpetrated by the GOP.

Thats all Boehner can do is scream ad act outraged. He does not have the votes to pass the most simple legislation. Even legislation that had 2/3 support of the House

He can't do a thing about immigration reform. He screamed about the VA and then sat on bills to fix their problems. He yells for Obama to do something about immigrant children and then can't even pass a bill for $500 million to get started

Boehner is the worst Speaker in modern times

It's not completely his fault. Look at his party with their 7% approval rating.

Someone posted a list of those bills. With names like "Job training" and "Help for the Middle Class". But when you read the bills, they were about tax cuts and deregulation. Some had nothing to do with jobs at all. Course, I didn't read all of them, just a couple of dozen. And I posted summaries. That pretty much killed the thread. Facts are deadly enemies of right wingers trying to debate.

Sadly, I fully understand politics. That's why I try to educate those who don't.

And once again rderp, you're so full of shit that your eyes are brown. I'd post the link to them, but since Eric Cantor left office, the list on his office's site was taken down yesterday. It was a list of each bill and its title sitting on Reid's desk. When you open the link, it gives you other links where you can see who the co-sponsors were, the text of the bill and the vote. They covered all sorts of people's business rather than just partisan desires. Many had bipartisan votes of 420 yes to 5 no. A decent number of them were actually written by Dem House members and passed on bipartisan votes. Oddly, Reid won't even put the Dem bills up for debate or vote. The House has been doing their job of representing their constituents and have been writing, debating and passing legislation right and left. There are plenty of nonpartisan sites with the same information, just not tied up into a list with a neat little bow like Cantor's was. The truth is out there.....but you'd rather believe what daily kos, MSNBC, Obama, etc. tell you. That's just sad. Open your closed little mind and dig out the facts for yourself.

I was watching Boehner's speech on TV about how the president failed to lead and failed to act on children crossing the border. What a huge mess he let it grow in to. How, once again, Republicans in the congress are coming to the rescue to give America the valuable leadership it deserves.

And then an hour later, he had to withdraw the bills because he couldn't get his party to vote for them.

Seems Ted (shutdown the government and cost taxpayers 25 billion) Cruz reared his ugly head. Are individual senators lobbying the house the "new normal"? Never heard that done before.

And why is he so "anti immigration"? Anyone heard his father speak? "Wheen I first came here, I got pooblic aid and bought new choose".

The humiliation. Especially after they said they needed to take the lead and failed so publicly and miserably.

How exactly did a "government shutdown" (which really doesn't even BEGIN to describe what actually happened; it was more like slightly limited funding for a few government programs) cost taxpayers $25 billion?

We have trusted Republicans with one House in Congress

In the almost four years they have held the House they have zero accomplishments to show for it. Other than agreeing to shut down the government, the House has been unable to do anything

Here we have a simple bill for them to pass and we cannot even get an agreement among Republicans

And they think they deserve a larger role in Government?

You really are a dumb ******* partisan hack aren't you? Pull your little pin head out of your plump rosy ass and give Harry Reid a call and ask why he's sitting on 350+ bills. If the House "hasn't done anything", it isn't for lack of trying. It's because Reid is too much of a chicken shit partisan to allow what the House has passed to see the light of the day. Honestly, you're simply a bullshit artist and you aren't very good at it. If I were Boehner, I'd publically tell Reid to kiss my ass if he wants to pass a simple bill while sitting on 350+. Moron.

There is no reason for Republican bills to pass while Republicans require 60 votes for a bill to go to the floor

Can you identify any of your "350" bills that have 60 votes in the Senate? If not, they go nowhere.....just like the Democratic bills

When a liberal tells you that someone has done nothing they mean they didn't do what the liberal wanted. I for the life of me can't think of one thing I want Congress to do except cut spending. The government has record revenue one would think that would be enough.

But, on second thought, if I were to list priorities.

1. Severely cut back on the drone program and investigate the targeting of Americans if for no other reason then to stop the practice of killing Americans without due process proving guilt and the program being a big recruiting tool.

2. Fix Obamacare

3. Close the department of education

4. Privatize the national parks service

5. make a plan to ensure that our infrastructure (federal) is in repair.

6. Revamp and make simple the federal tax code.

7. Have the guts to close many of our military bases, turning them into oil refineries if needed.

And while passing a vote for the GOP to sue the President for his use of Executive Orders, Boehner then says that Obama could use Executive Orders to fix the border crisis.

Really, you just cannot make this shit up.

Is this an example of what to expect from Republican leadership?

No doubt Boehner has got to go. Not all Republicans are worth keeping, like McCain.

Obama is going to create 6 million new Democrat voters on welfare with the stroke of his pen. Very racist of him. But that's the point I think.

You misses the part where I said "arresting the employer". You know like when ICE rounds up a bunch of illegals and carts them off to jail. Where are there employers?

You start attesting men and women on the spot for having an illegal in their employ in any way, shape or form and there will be less jobs for illegals. Period.

**** existing law that uses fines for employing illegals. Jail for employers is the answer.
You are for less jobs for illegals right bripat?

At the highest level no less. Did John REALLY say for Obama to use an EO when John is gonna sue for Obama using EOs?

John really makes it hard to say you live in Ohio. But I do.

Why can't those on the left understand the difference between legal and illegal immigration?

Are they really that stupid?

Why can't the right comprehend how stoooooooooopid they are???????

Obama lowered immigration & deported many more illegals than his idiot predecessor.

He only "deported" more than President G.W. Bush did if you use Obama's numbers, which includes those turned back at the border. A number NOT included in President Bush's number.

But then you knew that and continue to spread the misinformation as if it were true.

You idiot. So, we turn them around at the border and we save all that money to detain them (when we find them 500 or 2,000 miles from the border), pay for their attorney and provide them with due process. Damn, you right wingers are sooooooo stupid.
