Do USMB Republicans understand yesterday's House GOP "humiliation"?

I was watching Boehner's speech on TV about how the president failed to lead and failed to act on children crossing the border. What a huge mess he let it grow in to. How, once again, Republicans in the congress are coming to the rescue to give America the valuable leadership it deserves.

And then an hour later, he had to withdraw the bills because he couldn't get his party to vote for them.

Seems Ted (shutdown the government and cost taxpayers 25 billion) Cruz reared his ugly head. Are individual senators lobbying the house the "new normal"? Never heard that done before.

And why is he so "anti immigration"? Anyone heard his father speak? "Wheen I first came here, I got pooblic aid and bought new choose".

The humiliation. Especially after they said they needed to take the lead and failed so publicly and miserably.

Sure...but we more understand the humiliation of having a total moron as our president.

I am afraid that Romney was right, 47 percent will vote for their benefits not for the good of the country. But I can hardly blame them when the economic outlook for the working man is pretty damn dismal. Someone with a practical education should do fine in the years ahead. But those who can't be educated, who used to be able to push a broom in a mill and make a living wage, are screwed. That is why the solution that the democrats give is just pay someone more to fry potatoes. Really they have lost touch with reality. But one bright spot, our ports should be thieving with the increase in imports.

Are you quite sure of what Coulter opposes? Help comes in many forms maybe the help she wants to give Americans is different then the help we are giving and you may think we should be giving. The debate may indeed not be whether we help people or not, but how we help people. Is flood the border with low educated/ low skilled labor into a country where jobs for those types are few and far between really helping anyone?

Can you point to any legislative initiative that proves what you just posted? Please, don't be so partisan to try and name increasing the minimum wage that is just pure BS.

The last welfare reform, that I remember was under Clinton. The Earned Income Tax credit, that was under Reagan. So you will have to show me where the Republicans have tried to stop all help to EVERYONE and not just the slackers.

Boner still believes in your Messiah, and hopes to have all those here without visas soon allowed to work, as long as there are no minimum wage requirements or regulations on worker safety. He will then finish Ronald Reagans vision, an America where everyone is free - of course not every person will not be able to afford proper nutrition, medical care or satisfactory shelter, but think of the profits that can be made by their exploitation - and remember, they will be free to come and go as they please for there will be a smaller government and very little government regulation.

After a month of posturing that immigration was a crisis and swift action was called for......Boehner does nothing and takes a 5 week vacation

Not only that, these guys keep screaming "it's all about immigration". It's about refugee status under their law that Bush signed in 2002 and again in 2008.

It's like them screaming about "voter ID" when their voter suppression tactics are much more broad and damaging.

If they can scream the loudest, they believe they are controlling the narrative by limiting the conversation to their talking points.

Besides, we need children that grow into adults who actually like to learn. It will offset some of the terrible damage perpetrated by the GOP.

I can point to Paul Ryans budget that slashes housing allowances. I can point out the fact that Republicans have not proposed any legislation to help anyone other than the wealthy

I am always of the mind that I look at numbers as a tool to form opinion. In other words I will tend to side with the numbers to which support the position I hold. I think most people do the same. So, throw out the numbers and look at the situation. Was there a flood of children in prior years? No, is there now, yes. So things are getting worse and the children are not coming because of violence in their country. Almost all report they come because they believe, rightly or wrongly, that Obama has opened the borders for them. And when one thinks about it why are children and not families flooding the border? In my opinion it is because most of the parents have already entered the country illegally and their children are now following them. What parent, sends their children to another country without them?
