I recieve a monthly check from the VA as compensation for service connected disabilites. You guys think I didn't earn that money?

There isn't a conservative alive who does not support giving a veteran his due.

It will sickitate them no end to see a veteran try to use his service injuries in any way as means of political pursuasion which is counter to the mission of the US Armed Forces though.

Demonstrate that you are productive, self-accountable citizen that after due effort of your own output needs temporary assistance with things to make your children more educated or healthier and I am all for helping with essentials.

Our system is being gamed in every aspect and the give a damn of working stiffs like me is pret' near give out.

There are folks with bona fide disabilities that don't work and should receive social safety net support if needed.

Then there are those who game the system and don't work and demand entitlment of such sustenance..

The Liberal refusal to make a separation / distinction between the two and take steps to cull them from the ranks means the ones who truly need it receive less benefit and little opportunity for meaningful reform.

I do not know the ethnenticity of Plasmaball but he is out there shoveling concrete(one of the jobs that are, many times, pointed out to be reserved for illegal aliens as American won't do it) and someone has the audacity to tell him he has spend 26,000 pennies for a game and therefore does not need all that he works so hard to make. If you want a simple example of how the system is being gamed tomorrow afternoon walk into your local SS office and count the number of people in line that are over 60 and the number of people that are under 60 ... And do a quick ratio in head remembering tgat it is supposed to be a safety net for retired persons.

I haven't been in a SS office in awhile, but I would guess there are 10x more young people there then retirement aged folks there

Please note my signature. This is exactly why I believe as I do. When government assistance is given out, the reciever looses some freedom. It is opinions like yours that make me fear the result of our socialistic movement to more and more government assistance.

Tyrants like you would enjoy very much having the masses under their thumb because they cannot make it in an economy that has been socially engineered by government programs to the point of near failure and create a majority of poor people.
