Do republicans think the next SCOTUS pick should be Christian?

Any intelligent judge, Christian or not, would objectively examine the constitution as is.

It’s okay if a Christian judge is on SCOTUS, but because of separation of church and state, it must be left out of a judge’s analysis.

I would imagine republicans wouldn’t give a shit about that because any RW nut job Christian judge would cater to their beliefs. It’s not like objectivity matters to them. It’s only that they win.

The only thing I'm concerned about is that they're Constitutional originalist.

Pro 2nd Amendment and someone the bed wetting libturds are programmed to hate.

.

Because even though His name isn't mentioned in it, the U.S. Constitution was based on godly Christian principles.

If I was a Christian right of center judge, I would reexamine what separation of Church and State actually was intended to mean by the Founding Fathers.

What % of the US population is Christian?

What % is "Christian in name only? What % actually follows the tenets of Christ--love and tolerance in their daily lives?

What % believe the earth was created 4000 years ago even thought Rome accepted evolution as science in 1950?

What % of so-called "Christians" know and understand the Bible as a Collection of Books (that's what bible means, library)... a collection of books, letters, poetry, fiction, Hebrew oral tradition and tribal law, authored by many different people over a number of centuries?

What % of so-called "Christians" understand the bible as allegory, powerful stories meant to inspire but not be taken literally?

You'll LIKE living under Sharia law.

But, of course, since Obama is now relegated to the darkest corners of history there's little chance of that happening just now.

Personally I'd enjoy seeing what fault liberals could find with a Wiccan or maybe Druid nominee.

I think the next SCOTUS pick should be a female/male machinegun toting, cigar smoking, whiskey swilling, expert on Constitutional LAW. What ever their religion is or isn't is immaterial.

Christian or Jew seems to be the only option this go-round. Is that a bad thing for the left? Don't forget that democrat icon FDR appointed a former KKK member to the Court who was allegedly raised to hate Catholics. After the majority opinion that justified the incarceration of Japanese Americans Justice Black went on to establish a new concept of "Separation of Church and State" around 1948 that did not appear in the Constitution in order to curb the proliferation of Catholic schools that were springing up in the late 40's. Radical agnostic and hate filled democrats expanded the concept to the point that the Christian tradition of a Christmas tree is no longer tolerated in mainstream America on public property.
