FYI -- Honesty and politics mix like water and oil.
Indeed.

And that goes for politicians, pundits, politicos and partisans.

It has essentially become professional wrestling for political geeks, and the country is suffering as a result.

.
Maybe one day voters will wake up and smell the coffee.
Yeah.

It's going to take a leader (or multiple leaders) with a real set of balls, someone who is not afraid to piss off both whacked-out ends.

I don't see anyone like that currently.

.
In reality, in my opinion, we're going to have to hit the proverbial rock bottom to wake folks up. At this stage of the game, it's either hit rock bottom, or stage a citizens' revolt. Both may be approaching faster than we think. Something has to happen on a tragic level in order to open enough eyes. Otherwise, we'll drift along until hope has completely faded and becomes a moot point.

man oh man, these people are getting damn scary

You see folks they done used up RACIST..... so now they are onto calling you bigots...

it just never stops with these people. vote these progressives out of lives in 2016

Of course bigots have a right to exist and to their bigoted opinions. They also now have the right to be relegated into the dustbins of history.

Ok bigots can't deny a service to the public if they own a business. How far should we prohibit them acting on those feelings? it seems to me that to completely bar a bigoted individual is to basically make being a bigot illegal since they can't apply those feelings in any aspect of their lives. It would have the same affect as saying banning being a bigot which would violate some portion of the first amendment.

Apparently so. You're still alive.

Libs think the only people that have a right to exist are the ones that think and act as they do. Biggest bigots there are in this country.

I'm a bigot because I want you to believe that black Americans should have equal rights and that you should act accordingly?

lol

Wrong. You ASSUME I think blacks shouldn't have equal rights. And then turn around and try to take my rights away from me based on your bigotry.

Name any liberal on this board who has ever said you should be killed because you didn't agree with him or her.

You are allowed to be as bigotted as you want in your own home and own circle of friends

However once you enter the public arena and open a business, you are subject to all the rules and regulations. You may not like them, you may not agree with them....but you are still subject to them

Blue Gin said that liberals want people who disagree with them to be killed. Can you name all the liberals you've ever heard say that?

I know right? But ...if they couldn't put people in cute little labeled boxes to fit their world view they couldn't exist :)

Well the one you're debating is a total moron so I wouldn't worry about it much.

NYC here is in this thread defending his right to not want "bigots" to exist. So apparently I am correct. :)

And empty truism. Of course there are rules. We're discussing what they should be. Should government be used to squash unpopular opinions?

of course the left/lib/dem is all for that. Fascism is in their blood

at the heart of liberal intolerance is a secular disregard for the dignity of individuals.

You are allowed any opinions you wish. You are also subject to ridicule because of them

As a business you are subject to ALL the rules. Fire codes, building codes, tax regulations, labor laws and even anti-discrimination laws.

"We don't serve n*ggers here" was an unpopular opinion and was squashed by the government. Same applies to gays
