Do Atheists Have a Moral Code?

Religion and morality are completely unrelated.

Indeed, the most heinous acts of immorality are committed by theists.

Religious dogma is often used to facilitate and justify acts of immorality, criminality, and human rights violations.

Right now, a god of the Fundamentalist Cult of Zero Covid is railing against the unvaccinated from the Oval Office.

That is absolutely a religion. Clergy is Public Health. Sacraments are masks, vaccines, social distancing, etc.

Except your religion sucks. No grace, no forgiveness, no absolution. Just pursed-lipped Puritans judging, shaming, and nagging every day.

The irony is entertaining though

Your dangerous and childish vaccine retardation is a good example of how faith twists the mind. No doubt you have found ways to retrofit your evil little fetish to the iron age book of myths.

PS

Going to my evangelical Christian church to escape you utter zealots is a real relief, let me tell you.

We are much, and I mean MUCH, less judgmental than you.

Really.

As I said. You live the way you live because God put it there. Otherwise, you would live like an animal. Sheer instinct, no higher functioning at all.
Nonsense.

Moral codes, appropriate social conduct and behavior, concepts of right and wrong long predate the advent of theism.

Indeed, as man started to create religious beliefs and as religious dogma evolved, humans incorporated pre-theistic moral codes into that religious dogma.

There is nothing "pre-theistic", first. Second, morals are "written on our hearts" by God, as we are created in His image. This does not depend on religion being evolved or whatever

Shaman Sue has spoken! Heed her amazing words, all ye who either care about your eternal souls or who are too stupid to recognize a 50,000 year old con, when you see one.

If you don't believe in "moral relativism", you're not an atheist.
Wrong.

Again, concepts of morality, moral behavior, and understanding the difference between right and wrong are incorrectly attributed to religion and religious dogma; theists did not ‘invent’ moral codes – humans were not ‘devoid’ of moral codes and concepts of appropriate behavior prior to the advent of theism and religion.

Theists have no ‘monopoly’ on morality.

Those free from religion practice the same moral codes and dictates of moral behavior that humans have always observed, moral codes and dictates of moral behavior later appropriated by theists and incorporated into religious dogma.

The wrongheaded notion that theists attempt to propagate is that concepts of morality, moral behavior, and understanding the difference between right and wrong come from ‘god’ – which is nonsense given the fact that there is no ‘god’ as perceived by theists.

And given the fact that there is no ‘god’ as perceived by theists, the fact that religion and ‘god’ are creations of man, so too is it a fact that man created concepts of morality, moral behavior, and understanding the difference between right and wrong independent of religious dogma – that those man-created moral codes are incorporated into religious dogma makes no difference.

Consequently, those free from religion follow the same moral codes as theists.

No.
If they had an objective moral code, it would be written and published widely.

Bullshit.

The only reason to write it down and publish it widely would be to try to convince others to adopt their beliefs.

Atheists simply don't give a shit if anyone believes as they do...
