Diversity, equity and inclusion are American values
No. They aren’t.
Diversity we already have. It’s not a “value,” it’s just a factual predicate.
Equity is a silly effort to relabel what we do have which is equality. We have long believed in equality of opportunity. We have long denied any right to equality of outcome. We are already a fair-minded people.
And inclusion isn’t a “value,” either. Again, it’s simply a state of being.
When it comes to hiring, we have long embraced merit. As we should.
