"Close enough" is subjective. Outlier has a specific definition and some specific formulas associated with it. So let me know which elections you want me to use and I can tell you, objectively, if the 81 million is an outlier or not. I don't think it is.

I think the 81 million was an outlier at the time just as Trump's 74 million was an outlier in the last election. This election, Trump surpassed his 74 million which takes the outlier label away. And I think Kamala will end up "close enough" that the outlier label will be removed as well. But let me know which election data points and I can tell you for sure.
