If you read the story carefully you will see that a mighty wind burst through the door and "tongues of fire" (plural) appeared that settled above each of their heads ."Pentecost, celebrated 50 days after Easter Sunday, commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem for the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1–31).

No. Jesus said that the Spirit of truth, The Advocate, Comforter, Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whatever, would be sent by God to do specific things. Whatever you think the Holy Ghost is has not done even one of those specific things in 2000 years that Jesus said that HE would be sent by God to do. The world has not been confuted, by Him showing where wrong and right and judgment lie, The Jewish people have not been convicted that it was wrong to refuse to believe in Jesus, the Jewish people have not been convinced by any invisible ghost that Jesus was right, and even the most openly professed "believers" of any religion do not know and have not been convinced that the prince of this world stands condemned. They don't even know what the hell that means. This event marks the fulfillment of Jesus' promise to send the Holy Spirit to guide, empower, and advocate for His disciples, leading to the birth of the Christian Church.
So how do you resolve this? Is the Holy Spirit sleeping? On vacation? Never got the memo? Did he go AWOL?
All I have seen is people claiming to be filled with the Holy Spirit flailing about squeaking and gibbering like idiots
If you believe thats what God sent 2000 years ago, an invisible disembodied entity that makes people act and look insane, you have been schnookered. That bizarre behavior is the behavior of the demonically possessed.
Spreading a virulent thought contagion, oozing from their frothing mouths like a foul and smelly discharge.
