A feature of the Abrahamic Religions is that good people suffer and evil people prosper in this life. It was, in fact, the entire theme of the Book of Job. (not to be confused with the Book of JoeB)

So an obsessed fanboy took a shot at Trump, and he survived because the obsessed fanboy was such a bad shot they threw him off his HS Shooting team.

Kind of absurd to attribute this to the will of a sky pixie.

That Trump turned his head a fraction of an inch during the millisecond the bullet was speeding toward his brain strikes me as an absolute miracle. When I saw that, I knew that Gd wanted Trump back in office rather than allow the Left to continue their destruction of all that made America great.

Question: To what degree did Gd save Trump because He was angry that America was wishy-washy (at best) in their support for the Holy Land, and that He wanted a strong advocate of Israel as president of America?

I can only provide my own experience with a close encounter with death, which is meaningless when it comes to an entire population. All over the world many people died that day, and it puzzled me greatly that I didn't as well. In the overall scheme of things I was, am, and all will be--as close to zero as one can possibly be. I thought it had to be because I was needed for someone's ancestry. I was told it had nothing to do with anyone else--it had only to do with me.

People keep bringing up Hitler. Had Hitler been assassinated, could things have been worse for the world as Hitler certainly did not live in a vacuum. There were worse people in power who backed him.

Did Donald Trump need to live in order for America to understand that the Progressive Left--though a loud and bullying influential in present society--are actually a small minority? Or, would the great majority of Americans vote for anyone other than the Democrat party? (See Senate and House victories.) Also note that same bullying going on over the war in the Holy Land and to some extent, the war in Ukraine.

What individual Americans did in this election was to show the world what the majority of Americans actually stand for--and what they refuse to stand for any longer.

Consider...Does God need Donald Trump (or any of us) to accomplish something? Before anyone answers too quickly, does God call people to serve Him? I give a vehement yes to the second question. President Lincoln was once asked if he thought God was on his side. Abraham Lincoln responded that it was more important that he was on God's side. Despite the number of Democratic Catholics holding high office, they don't seem to be on God's side. Other Democrats have been dismissing God as not worth considering. It could be many of us filling out our ballots for our elected public officials were praying, "Please, may you be on God's side."

As for President-elect Trump: I believe he is on America's side. It may be up for debate whether he is on God's side, so as Americans, let's make sure we, as individuals, are on God's side so that together, with our President-elect, we can improve our world and make it holy (wholesome).

And I do agree that Gd calls upon people to serve Him, through whose choices and actions His desires are fulfilled. Gd wants Israel to survive, and America to reverse its destructive course, both of which would have been in doubt had the Democrats continue down their path. Thus, I do believe He worked a miracle to save Trump - for both America’s side, and for Israel’s.

And what a wonderful quote from Lincoln, our first Reoublican, which I had not heard before: it is not a question as to whether Gd is one’s side, but that one is on G-d’s side. I do think Trump has a new awareness and appreciation for Gd, and I hope he will continue to be on His side as he works, with his team and the mandate Americans have given him, to make our country great again and reverse the harm caused by “wokism.”

70 million people died in WW2. I couldn't imagine things being any worse than that. Perhaps if Hitler had died (it really depends on what point), someone saner might have run Germany. Someone who might have avoided a war. Someone who might have respected Democracy. It wasn't the bad people who supported Hitler, it was the normal ones who convinced themselves that he wouldn't be that bad.

Trump has demonstrated a magnitude of strength and perseverance that is needed to halt and then reverse the evil that has infiltrated the Democrat Party. That poster who bemoaned that a would-be murderer missed his mark is an example of what our country is up against.

Few people have the strength that Trump has. Sometimes that comes out in an abrasive personality, but that’s minor in the scheme of things.

I don't know, but I was looking at Trump's head the other day and even with his head turned just right, that bullet must have skimmed just past the side of his whole head real close. Like within a quarter inch.

The fact that I don’t know the answer to that question, after decades of Judaism and Torah classes, tells me it isn’t a thing in my religion. We do, however, believe in angels whom Gd sends to help in time of need - just that we don’t have one “assigned” to us.
