The news, first reported by the New York Times, follows last week's deadly riot at the US Capitol. On Monday, Signature Bank said it had started closing Trump's personal accounts and called for the president to resign. The US bank also said it "will not do business in the future with any members of Congress who voted to disregard the Electoral College."

That allowed me to spend that other 1/3 cost on something other than interest to my credit union. I think that's a damn site smarter than giving my hard-earned money to a financial institution, regardless on whatever I decided to spend it on.

You don't know what you're talking about. I bought a new truck in 1991, and I paid cash for it. That means I never paid interest on a loan which made my cost for the truck about 2/3rds of what it otherwise would have been. That allowed me to spend that other potential 1/3 truck cost on something other than interest to my credit union. I think that's a damn site smarter than giving my hard-earned money to a financial institution, regardless on whatever else I decided to spend that money on that I had saved.
