I just wish people would leave the d party for the right reasons, not personal reasons. I mean, I am a devout Catholic but I --for example--would not vote against someone who favored Protestantism IF that person was not virulently anti-Catholic and had good policies. In fact, I hv often wondered if that is the category I could put Trump in..namely: not anti-Catholic but not enthusiastically pro Catholic either. Lately, he seems OK with Catholicism because Vance is Catholic so I don't put him in that category.

What I care about in a party is someone who does the right thing, uses common sense as Trump does to figure out the best policies. I guess I do understand a little of where Dersh is because if I felt a candidate was virulently anti-Catholic, that would make me not want to vote for that party/person. However, I would vote for someone who is pro life but not terribly pro Catholic based on the abortion issue.. I would vote AGAINST someone who is "Catholic" in name only if that person supported abortion and other immoral acts whereas the not-2-friendly-toward-Catholic person was pro-life.
