The Danes would probably run California a whole lot more efficiently and effectively than Gavin Newsom and the Democrats have. A petition, however, is not policy, but you have to appreciate the Danes' sense of humor.

Reminds me when Iowa declared the Kansas sunflower to be a noxious weed. Kansas retaliated by declaring the Iowa goldfinch to be an invasive pest. The two legislatures suggested they all meet in Hawaii to work things out.

If it wasn't for the seaports on CA's coast, I'd let the Danes have it. CA for Greenland, even up trade. But then we'd have to have a western border problem along with the one on our southern border and we don't need that. Which would be worse, illegals sneaking into Nevada or CA residents? Related: What I'm not seeing is the improvement in national security if the US acquires Greenland. That's assuming Congress agrees and approves the expenditures necessary. We've already got a base there, do we really need it? What would be the cost going forward for every year in the future if we own Greenland vs not? Does it make any sense? I ain't seeing it yet.
