They are removed from the active voter rolls.

Removing them from the voting records system entirely is ridiculous and wrong. We have a right to look up a person's voting record, if they were even registered to vote, or were they voting in all elections, or none, or only participating in federal elections etc, and what party did they register under, or if they ever changed political party, when etc etc etc....so we can look back on our own family history involved in ancestry facts, down to finding history and facts on politicians, or anyone or any region or town, of interest from the past....

Removing them from voter records as if they never existed, is downright stupid, ignorant, and unnecessary and a disservice to our history records imo.

This is unforgiveable. A person can die in their own home at 6 pm on a Wed. night and by opening time the next morning, banks KNOW and lock the deceased's bank account and the gov't carries the dead on voters rolls for years, possibly decades after death. The US voting system is beyond rife for corruption and fraud and better security should be foremost.
