They are removed from the active voter rolls.So where’s the removal part?
Removing them from the voting records system entirely is ridiculous and wrong. We have a right to look up a person's voting record, if they were even registered to vote, or were they voting in all elections, or none, or only participating in federal elections etc, and what party did they register under, or if they ever changed political party, when etc etc etc....so we can look back on our own family history involved in ancestry facts, down to finding history and facts on politicians, or anyone or any region or town, of interest from the past....
Removing them from voter records as if they never existed, is downright stupid, ignorant, and unnecessary and a disservice to our history records imo.
