If the D's are serious about compromise on this, they would offer Full Faith and Credit allowing US citizens to carry in their urban hell holes if they have a license from their local sheriff.

I have a concealed carry permit from the sheriff of the County of Mercer, why shouldn't I be allowed to be legally strapped in New York or Washington DC?
