So, is it the rapists who are not reporting them...or the women raped? Just who is at fault for this problem?

We have a society that tells white men they can get away with anything, because the women lie. They're just looking to score a big payday in crying rape, and you can just destroy these tramps on the witness stand. Judges are loathe to inflect any kind of consequences and destroy these fine men's lives. Brock Turner is a prime example.

Speaking as a woman who didn't report my rape, what would be the point? I had no evidence of a lack of consent, no witnesses. I had been drinking. He was a lawyer. And this was 40 years ago, when there was little in terms of rape shield laws to protect victims. Well to do, white, educated, married, and all the resources at his disposal, to go after me.

If convicted, he would lose his license to practice law. He was married, so his marriage was at risk as well as half his assets, and future income. And he would be labelled a sex criminal for life. If charged, he stands to lose so much, he basically has to fight the charge. The two years leading up to the trial and the trial would have been worse than the rape, and that's assuming that the Crown would have even pressed charges, given the facts. He said/She said, and she'd been drinking.

Good answer. Couple with that the following posits of mine:

• Male dominance over females has been part of human nature for 6 million years
• With exception of the female ovulation cycle, humans are not driven by a "mating season"
• Most fathers want their daughters to be protected and remain chaste
• Most fathers want their sons to chase girls and "get a piece"
• One measure of a man's true character is in what he does when he thinks nobody will ever know of it
• A male's likelihood of complying with a female's saying "no" is inversely proportional to his state of arousal

The deck has been stacked against women for 6 million years.

While I strongly agree that there is a huge double standard, that is worse now than it was when I was younger. I disagree that all fathers want their daughters to remain chaste and their sons to be chasers. I think all parents want their children to be decent moral people, and to live good lives and treat others well.

But there has been a general moral erosion over my lifetime. There is a lot of "anything you can get away with", and white men have learned that.

When liberals were in charge, when I was growing up, men were chivalrous, but since Reagan and the conservatives were elected, the white men have been told repeatedly that they can do what they want. No one will stop them, and this had lead white men to believe they're entitled to have sex with whoever they want.

Reagan crashed the economy in 1987, W in October, 2008, and Trump's economy failed throughout 2020 due to his failure to address the pandemic.

When I was growning up, I was taught to respect all girls, all young ladies, all mothers...i.e. all females. As I think back through my shortlist of steady girlfriends, I cannot remember a case in which their mothers did not like me. I respected their daughters.

When you were younger, you likely didn't notice many things that were prevalent and likely have not changed. Over time, you simply became aware of them. When I was young, I thought all people were honest. Via the school of espereience I learned this was not true.

In some cultures this is likely true. In others, the opposite may be true. You should not paint with broad brushes. Leaders of nations have brought on changes in morals going both ways. Caligula fostered hedonism and debauchery. The Victorian era fostered a striving for higher moral values.

There is a lot of "anything you can get away with", and white men have learned that.

I doubt seriously that only white men have realized this. The bell curve is alive and well in all large samples. While the distribution on each curve will vary among races, ethnicities and regions of large countries, there will always be people (not just men) who base their decisions on whether to act of refrain from acting on questionably immoral and unethical deeds upon the degree to which they fear others will learn of their actions.
