The solution is to pass a clean CR, and dems are unwilling to do that. They want concessions for illegals ahead of feeding starving people.

Lets make sure the country sees that they blocked the clean CR, that they previously agreed to, 13 times, that would have prevented all of this.

The CLEAN CR is the Big Beautiful Bill which cuts 1 TRILLION dollars from the MEDICAID budget, and ACA covid expansion, to pay for the extension on tax cuts that were planned and scheduled to expire for Trump and his billionaire friends and administration.

It isn't democrats who need to compromise with republicans in majority and in charge....

Republicans need a handful or two handfuls of democrats in order to pass a debt limit hike....

Congress...Mike Johnson and the President too, need to negotiate and compromise enough to get 7 or so Democratic Senators to go along with the Republicans.

It's republicans that have to make a deal....tasty enough to get the 7 dems needed to get the debt limit raised and passed....

I disagree, if the situation were reversed the democraps would never, ever make a deal with the republicans. The current status quo is to never compromise, and we have it playing out now. If democrap constituents want the shutdown ended they have to revolt against their politicians. I encourage the GOP to become more hard lined and ask for 3X more than what the democraps are asking for. They control the house, senate, WH and SC, they are in the driver's seat here. Do democraps really want the temporary ACA benefits to continue for another year? Well the GOP wants the welfare benefits to become temporary for just a year, federal judges to stop their shit, and the harassment of ICE has to stop. At the moment the GOP is fighting nice, but if the democraps won't then off come the gloves.

The big beautiful bill isnt in effect yet. The clean CR, is a previous budget that dems have agreed to in the past. They could easily do so now.
