It is an odd thing. Democrats, on the one hand, praise the Cuban communist dictatorship, but on the other hand, seem to hate Cubans as Joe Biden leads the democrat saying that he won't accept Cuban refugees trying to flee persecution and certain death.

And now this. A second generation Cuban immigrant is giving Left wingers like Kaepernick a mouth full of criticism for wearing a pro Cuban shirt saying,
"My father escaped Cuba when he was 14-years-old and I've only heard the horror stories since I could process thoughts of how sh**ty this communist regime – killing machine is," Masvidal stated. "So I just want to shed some light on Cuba, big SOS signal for them."

"This oppression has been going on for 61 years," he added. "It's not just because of the pandemic, not just because they ran out of medicine, they've been out of medicine, they've been out of resources and food because of the corrupt government, the extreme corruption over there where only a few at the top eat and everybody else has to suffer — those days have to come to an end."

Thus 60 years of political sanctions and embargoes.
Castro, from the time he nationalized those businesses to the time he stepped down pleaded for the case to be heard at the World Court.
The US refused to recognize the WC sovereignty and so here we are 60 years later.
The business reasons for the US crippling of the Cuban economy and starving its people long disappeared.
BUT
The GOP still uses Cubas as a whipping boy "promising" "one day" Those Cubans who fled Cuba and have now mostly died off would return and take their rightful places.
Which one would assume is in a cemetery since they're mostly dead.
Normalize relations;
End sanctions and embargoes
Open full trade and travel.
And watch Communism evaporate.

OK here's a couple of things you may not have considered. South Florida's Cuban exile community has concrete plans to assume control of Cuba should the Castro government collapse and reclaim their family holdings from the people who currently live there.

The people currently living in Cuba will fight them.

Which side of that one are you on?

So, indigenous people reclaiming their ancestral land is okay when it's Palestinians...but bad when it's ex-pat Cubans.
