Okay, so we’ve shifted the debate from the bullshit notion Obama’s upbringing was an economic and social struggle. Now, you want to beat up Carson some more. Carson benefited from affirmative action as did Clarence Thomas.
Um, no, guy, we haven't. Obama lived a pretty middle class lifestyle. His parents were cosmopolitan, but they were hardly wealthy.
As for Uncle Ben and Uncle Thomas, they would have had pretty mediocre lives if it weren't for affirmative action putting them ahead of a more deserving white person.
They don’t want to have affirmative action live in perpetuity because they would rather people be judged across the board on merits.
In other words, I got mine, **** you. I have very little respect for people who disdain those who helped them to suck up to the people who would screw them.
What your side is saying is Affirmative Action is here to stay as it will always be needed.
I think as long as white privilege exists, affirmative action will be necessary.
