Democrats and their policies have broken our supply chain and many businesses

So, then why are you seemingly supporting those who are pushing it?

I am not. That is a faulty assumption because I do not worship Trump. On this forum far too many people put everyone in to two camps, when there are really far more than that.

"My administration is recommending that all Americans, including the young and healthy, work to engage in schooling from home when possible, avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people, avoid discretionary travel and avoid eating and drinking in bars, restaurants, and public food courts," Donald Trump, 3.16.2020
None of which says close down businesses now does it Faun.

As I said, it wasn't that Trump didn't lock down the country in the early months of the initial virus...But, what Faun was doing there is highly dishonest. Democrats have been screaming that Trump didn't act on all fronts in battling this pandemic, when nothing could be further from the truth...And now that the supply chain issue is starting to rear its ugly head, Democrats like Faun want it both ways...So, which was it? Did Trump act, or didn't he?

On that we can agree...When the supply chain was disrupted last year, it was always going to filter down...Being a Trucker for the past 28 years I can tell ya, it's going to get worse.

It's my opinion that Trump did oversee shutting things down. It's my opinion it didn't work.

1. Endless lockdowns.
2. Paying people to not work.
3. Mask & vaccine mandates.

Those 3 things have broken the back of our workforce and many businesses. The predictions were made by many on the right when this nonsense started and now the fruits of those policies have come to fruition.

From ships unable to offload to a lack of truckers to tens or hundreds of thousands of employees being fired across the nation for not getting the poke. Then you have a shortage of teachers. A shortage of police. Some areas desperate for substitute teachers while others telling people not to call 911 because there aren't enough police to respond. Store shelves becoming bare in some areas again. Etc...

There is no better example of how bad the left can fuck shit up than what we're seeing now. The only question is how bad is this disaster going to get...

Paying people not to work started under Trump...But you already have yer instructions on what to say from your echo chamber leaders so don't let me interrupt yer schill moment....Tell us how much Trump paid you to stay at home..

Trump did that in March after he could no longer continue lying to America about how the virus was just going to go away.

Come on Gator...We've had some good discussions...And I don't think you're a bad guy, but when you use hyperbolic wording like "worship" in talking about supporting a political figure, party, or ideological stance then it does kind of out you as to which way you lean...

Oh, so he shouldn't have followed the advice of his advisors like Fauci and shutdown the country?
Of course he should take the advice from medical professionals on things like a virus. Still, the moronic OP is blaming "Democrats' policies" for a policy recommended by Trump.

So, you think he shouldn't have shut the country down or what? Simple question, why are you dancing?

Ok, what should he have done at the time..?

I haven't argued he should have done anything different. I'm simply countering those who pretend that Trump didn't support and advocate shutting it down.

The supermarket shelves look like those old photos of Soviet era food shortages. When you can't keep bottled water in stock something is very wrong.

Not quite that bad, but getting there.

Do you believe that the policies that the Biden administraion are helping the supply chain issues we are having?

Trump is the person who declared a national health emergency which started the process of lockdowns.

Sorry if you find it hyperbolic, but have you seen his rallies? They look just like a good old fashioned SBC revival service. And when people cannot admit that a human being has done anything at all wrong, is there a word other than worship that better fits?

I know that not all Trump supporters worship him, but far too many do.

People worshiped Obama just like they do Trump. It is human nature sadly, we are always looking for a savior. It is why cults thrive, it is why people drank the kool-aide.

The govt. doesn't control or run the supply chains the govt. is not that highly centralized.
