I love bees, and I love maters.

My grandpa was a bee keeper. He told me how bees think and act........and told me exactly how to walk, talk, and act around bees.
He also told me how to correctly handle them.

I was never scared of bees again.

I love bees too! but I am a bit afraid of them so I keep my distance.

And I love honey!

carpenter bee, not a honey bee :)
I saw that.
Just providing added information on other pollinators.
Generically there are a couple thousand species of "bees" around the world, including wasps, hornets, and other nasty critters.
During my time as a honeybee keeper I encountered many people who get confused with the different types of bees and mix-up one for the other.

We have bees all over the place.

When I trim one of the bushes out front, there must be 40 or 50 flying all around me.

We also have wasps. The land in our pool to get a drink. They don't bother us either. Sometimes they fly right up to me. I don't welcome them with open harms, but I don't panic either.

I did happen into a nest once and got hit....hurt for about 15 minutes.

I had a nest underground near my deck last year... they didn't bother me or eat my home so I left them alone...
They were happy underground... eventually they moved on when the wildflowers died off....
