Probably why you want the United States to provide for your defense and then bitch about our presence.

come on now, dear... we valued your contributions to world peace ever since WW2 at *least*. and we continue to do so.

we even, against severe protest by some foolish Dutch hippies in the 1970s, installed nuclear cruise missiles (probably under direct US control), and we helped out in the wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and (nearly?) every other deployment by NATO forces with our volunteer-only army.

we also buy American exclusively when it comes to defense, tech, but we build our own defense tech for our police forces, using local companies.

i know, because i built the windows-95 UI in an IDE called Delphi for the Dutch national police, to manage calls between Dutch police, ambulance, and fire-department crews on encrypted FM-like frequencies..
