It's pretty stupid... The United States poultry industry is the largest on Earth even larger than China's. The laying hens begin at 18 weeks old and have a career that last 3 to 5 years. During that time they lay up to five eggs a week sometimes more. The flocks are being quickly regenerated and in a very short period of time will have more eggs than we know what to do with.

This has nothing to do with politics at all but whoever is in the White House at the time is going to get blamed for high prices of eggs and whoever is in the White House at the time will be patted on the back when eggs go back down. That's just the nature of the office.
