Daniel Penny acquitted!

...and putting people in fear of their lives.

Assault doesn't have to be physical.

Have you never seen how bouncers handle this? they do it routinely, aren't afraid to take a punch and very rarely kill anyone. If a bouncer had been on that train the black kid would be alive, trust me.

This is an honest answer of what really happened here.

This is from CNN,

"The case stems from the death of Neely, a 30-year-old street artist who struggled with homelessness, mental illness and drugs, on a subway car on May 1, 2023."

Where was the "system" when this man who was arrested 42 times and had many issues clearly needed help? Daniel Penny should never have been in the situation he was in. I have no idea if Penny squeezed to hard or went overboard. Maybe he did. But I also know we can't have people like Penny who are trained and can help in these situations sit back and do nothing for fear of prosecution. (NO THAT'S NOT A LICENSE TO KILL) The whole situation is tragic. But the blame lies at the DOJ and system who just repeatedly arrests this man and lets him go without the help he needs.

Justice has been served.

And there is much rejoicing.

This prosecution should have never been brought.

Alvin Bragg is a piece of SHIT.
He was in a position to pursue justice and to be a good role model for people in his district, but for whatever reason chose to further the race baiting and hate narrative. This is sad on many levels, that no matter how much you achieve, you still remain chained to the image that is generated for you by people that will never be satisfied with anything.

You're just glad that a black man was killed, admit it.
No trump supporters actually think like that. Donโ€™t buy the gas lighting from the media.

Itโ€™s evil to call people racist with no evidenceโ€ฆ.thats why the left got crushed in the 2024 election

I'm a little surprised myself, as someone who's trained in MA and used to carry a license in case I got into a fight with serious consequences, it seems pretty clear to me that he murdered the guy. Penny initiated the physical confrontation, struck the first blow. The other dude was not armed.

The hold he had the guy in (including the leg wrap) is designed to kill, that's what that hold is taught for in MA and military training.

He could have confronted the man directly and reacted as needed, but he approached him from behind and throttled him to death.

Of courser the jury saw more details than I did, but as someone who has been taught these things I consider his use of force excessive and unnecessary, physical force should only be used when absolutely necessary for protecting life and this didn't reach that bar.

This sets a precedent and does not bode well.

Incorrect.... :bye1:

A guilty verdict would have set precedents far more dangerous....dOy.

These mentally ill people used to be in institutions that closed in the 1980's. The precedent set today exceedingly healthy for society and the public at large....will save innocent lives.

This is not Oz...
as most of the public understands. Only fringe progressives fcuk up the victim part....dUh

He was beholden to the money he received from the elites.

He seems to be saying it's open season on killing mentally ill people.
Protecting innocent people from dangerous mentally ill people is just as important as protecting people from all other dangerous people. The 'victim', as was the case in the George Floyd death, most likely died of the drugs in his system. The NYC medical examiner initially listed the cause of death as 'inconclusive' and later determined that Penny's choke hold killed him. And she came to that conclusion before seeing the toxicology report.

There is no indication Penny intended Neely any harm, but when it is necessary to make a 'citizen arrest' to protect people who are being threatened, it should be understood that doing that isn't always possible without injuring the perpetrator. Neely should have been in a mental institution long ago. But because that didn't happen is not license for him to harm others. Penny never should have been charged. But since he was, at least the trial had the right outcome.

GTFOH...he coulda this and that. The only precedent to be set is LE needs to be allowed to do their job and stop releasing people who are mentally ill threatening people with violence.
