Dallas: Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress & a Bell P-63 Kingcobra collided & crashed with each other. It's unclear how many people were on board both planes

Looks like you may be mistaken concerning the pilot......... Looks like the P-63 pilot may have hit a drone first.

Dallas Midair Tragedy: New Videos Show Startling Change in Flight Path of P-63

The NTSB has released its preliminary findings. The fighter did not hit a drone. It was following the air boss's orders to change flying "lanes". Turns out the air boss was brand new and never did this before.

Like Juan points out, at Reno it is not legal to pass an airplane on the inside. You HAVE to pass it on the outside. Why? Because when you go wings up to another plane, you can't see it anymore.

The guy in the P63 was following orders and never saw the B17 until he hit it.

That makes it even more tragic

Yep, it basically means NEITHER pilot screwed up. This blood is on the air boss's hands.

But the reason I gave before as to why the planes hit stands. He never saw the B17. It was under his engine cowling the entire time.

Glad they cleared that up. Would hate to be in the air boss's shoes knowing I was responsible for that crash and resultant deaths.
