I think making drugs less expensive is good, encouraging more drug use is bad. Illegal drugs are expensive, require police time and effort, and encourage gangs and crime. Legal drugs are safer, cheaper, and offer tax benefits. Cheaper drugs enable some addicts to maintain their jobs and families.

You may not care to watch the entire documentary, but towards the end there is a very workable solution to housing and treating the homeless/criminal/addicted population of Seattle, a former federal detention that stands unused on McNeill Island in Puget Sound, but the blue "government" there hasn't done shit about it.
