Providing free rehab due to addiction is not. I am in favor of free rehab if it comes as a condition of incarceration. Again, you believe in a nanny state, I don't. That won't change. BTW, can you show me where a nanny state is provided for in the constitution?

Irrelevant as is made clearly obvious in states that have legalized illicit drugs. Taxes just make up for it. You also have nothing to base your assertion that crime has to do with costs of drugs. Nineteenth century history would also prove you wrong. Ever hear of opium dens and the deaths and crimes that were spawned from them?
