Uh... even data recovery software you get off the internet for free can recover data from a factory reset.
A hacker could get your old data in literally a few seconds.

A much simpler way... and what I do when getting rid of business PCs or personal laptops.
Simply remove the hard drive. Take a hammer and smack it a few times and it will break open revealing the internal disks. Make sure they are broken. Throw it all away

Overwrite the drive with CCleaner one time. You can additionally start a secure erase, an internal feature of each drive. One single overwriting is all you need as long as you overwrite all sensitive data.
