Several of the polls in the RCP are nearly a week out of date.

Repeat: Average out only the polls that are current as of today. They've all tightened for McCain or stayed even.

Gallup Traiditonal: McCain gained two points in three days
Gallup Expanded: McCain lost two points in three days
Gallup Registered: McCain lost one point in three days
Zogby: McCain gained five points in three days
IBD/TIPP: McCain gained one point in three days
ABC News/Wash Post: McCain gained two points in three days
Battleground: McCain gained one point in three days

If the trend continues the race could be a dead heat one week from today. But that's a big if.
