Criminalizing unemployed - Sen. Hatch wants unemployed to face mandatory drug tests

Let's triple the size of government to give drug tests to 9 million more Americans.

Lets quintuple the size of government and give more entitlement handouts, at the expense of taxpayers, to 15 million more lazy as ******* welfare queens... you don't seem to mind that, rdummy

It's amazing how Quickly People will get back into a Debate from Months ago...

With 'rights' come 'responsibilities'. This is something often overlooked by the drooling lefties. I have no problem with those drawing unemployment checks to be required to ensure that they are capable of getting a job in return for their money. So, why shouldn't they have to stay off the illegal substances?

And just how isn't that BIG government intrusion into people's lives? The people that lost their jobs were doing the 'responsible' thing...they were ******* WORKING.

The current job market offers 1 job opening for every 5 unemployed Americans looking for work.

The small government argument is no longer yours...you just abdicated.

Why are there no jobs?

Industry is not hiring.

Why are they not hiring?

Because there is too much uncertainty in the market to trust spending capital on hiring o new facilities.

Why is there uncertainty?

Because the federal government has fuckall for policy.

Why is the government have bad policy?

Liberals want to play social engineers regardless of economic realities based on an ultra naive faith in mommy style 'fairness'.

Why isn't fairness a successful policy?

Because we run in a world of limited resources and the laws of thermodynamics have not been repealed. Therefore you cannot govern with this fantasy as your guide.

So what should be our guide?

Capitalism. Rational, ethical, capitalism. Government cut back to it's original levels and let the people be in charge of their own destiny with as little federal involvement as possible. The states on the other hand need a return to their true levels of power, taking back what has been usurped by the national government.

I would be interested to know the data supporting your conclusions. We know that millions of jobs have been moved to China and India. Republican Candidates Carly Fiarino and Meg Whitman have helped see to that. The Bush tax cuts financed this "movement" of American Jobs.

Curious. I didn't see you mention these "facts". Care to explain?

We know that millions of jobs have been moved to China and India (snip the stupid shit)
Have you even asked yourself WHY that is, Hairnet? I listen to Jason Lewis run it down damn near every night on his radio show, and I can't find fault with his logic or Dr. John Lott's who's help illustrate this case in his book Freedomnomics.

1. Labor's cheaper. Why? Americans are expensive. Doubly so if you have a union. The cost of living in the US is far far higher than nations like India and China. Why? Mandated services from the government for one. Housing codes, property taxes to fund schools, roads and fire departments. If you look at the layer cake that is the common municipality and services we take for granted, then look at Bangalore, India and see how their municipal cake is flat as a loaf of Naan in comparison because they do less than 10% of what we demand from our government on average.

This means that people must be paid more to live in a much more regulated and served environment, raising the bottom end wages.

2. Lack of government red tape. An interview done by Jason Lewis with a professor on Wednesday's show (so you can look it up yourself in his podcasts and accidentally educate yourself) talked about how in China, they can complete in one meeting what takes 5 years to even be considered in the US due to red tape and overregulation. You want to build a factory in Shanghai? Fine, let them know the base specs and outline of what you want to do that could profit them, essentially and you can get green light inside the hour.

Then you have environmental regulations, OSHA regs, Unemployment regs, health care provision regs, payroll rules, tax regs and on and on and on. China? You have nothing of the sort. We have made a business unfriendly environment. Nobody wants to do business here unless they absolutely have to.

3. Punitive taxation. The Obama administration is considering changing corporate tax law in a devestating way. But let me explain what we currently do. First it should be noted that we tax corporations at 35%. This is the second highest in the industrial 'first world'. The average corporate tax is 18%. Next, we tax foreign profits. NO OTHER NATION in the world does this! NONE! What you earn overseas is taxed overseas and not subject to the home nation taxing them. See where this could be discouraging for business? We're not just going to tax you here, but abroad as well and at the 2nd highest tax bracket in the world on corporations.

But, the good news which is also hurting the American Worker is this: That overseas money is NOT taxed till the profits are brought back into the US and realized as profit. Then, if the money was taxed overseas, the US government only takes the difference up to the 35% they believe is owed to them. So what's a business to do? Keep the money abroad. Invest in foreign improvements to themselves and never bring the money home.

What's the change that P-BO and company want to do that will drive even MORE business out of this nation? Simple, remove the exemption that prevents taxation till money comes into the US. Boom right there. You have given incentive for every major company to leave the US. Why risk it? They have no reason to do any of that when it's just as easy to move to the Netherlands or Paraguay or Baharain or Taiwan and reincorporate there and suddenly...! NO CORPORATE TAXES! Yaaaayyyyy! We slit our throats again!

4. Unconstitutional Retroactive taxation. There has been talk in congress of passing new taxes on business and make them retroactive to previous years. This is unconstitutional and flat out criminal. But when's that stopped this admin? Never it seems. So now, after you've laid in your budget, the government is forcing you to throw your hands up in the air when you plan ahead because you cannot possibly know your tax bill because you will never know when a new retroactive tax comes along and could take a bigger chunk out of your ass. This causes massive uncertainty cause a wrong guess, and you're done.

5. Gold is going gangbusters. Commodities always spike during times of paper instability. You can't trust the government, and paper can become worthless in this age of national default. So smart investers divest of shaky assets and go to hard commodities and securities that cannot suddenly be worth nothing. Nobody's going to invest in business in this environment because Rtards in the National government are sabotaging the capitalist market system.

There's just some base reasons WHY this nation is as fucked as it is under this admin. But don't worry, the printing presses are STILL RUNNING wide open!

Oh. Here, Hairnet. Be your own research monkey: www.jasonlewisshow.com More economic common sense and comprehension in this one show than anythign you've gleaned listening in to professors talking at the tables in the commons you clean.

They also make between 100 and 300 dollars a month in China. Is that what you want to see American Workers paid? That's your solution?

What about all regulations for clean air and water? Should we remove them?

You've said what you don't like. Where are the solutions?

You've been pwned again Hairnet. Own up to it, rub some ointment on the hole that hurts most and move on.

Here, have a patented Rush media tweak. Solution? Start shooting liberals like you to increase IQs in this nation.

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - China is studying whether to impose an environmental tax on polluters to cut their emissions, the official China Daily reported on Saturday.

Hey pea brain...what you just created all by your little lonesome is 3rd world America...congrats you ******* ignorant authoritarian moron...

BTW rdean, Big FIZZZZ doesn't really have a problem with BIG government...he is a devout Statist when his beloved state is carrying out God's work...murdering innocent human beings.

Killing an innocent human being is murder. WHO pays for that crime when the State murders an innocent person, you?...the Governor? What about the families of THOSE innocent victims YOU have created? If one of my family members murdered someone, I could find a way to accept their consequences. But if my family member were innocent and executed, I would now be a victim you righteously say you are protecting.

No system of justice is perfect. Secondly, executing the wrong person is an accident. Not murder. Executions are a punishment for a crime.

It is the job of thinking people not to be on the side of the executioners.

Keep in mind now that Hatch put in a bill or somesuch to make it so Arnold could run for president.

You mean Business is not regulating itself without regulations?

Being unemployed at the moment and not a drug user, I say bring it on.

But, I do agree who is going to pay for this? Gees, I thought Hatch was a fiscal conservative. Does this sound like fiscal conservatism?

Immie

If it weeds out the abusers then it pays for itself....there is a tremendous amount of corruption out there.Give people enough time and they will find a way to scam the government out of existence.:clap2:

Thank you for the insight into human character...but it only reveals YOURS...

Liberalism is trust of the people, tempered by prudence; conservatism, distrust of people, tempered by fear.
