First of all, do you really think that Urbanization and big cities is a Northeastern American trademark patented way of life ?
Lets see which area has more big cities, shall we ?
These are the big cities in the Northeast.
Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Camden, Trenton, Newark, New York City, Buffalo, Boston and Hartford.
Those Cities are all very far from each other.
This is the South....
Richmond, Charleston, Fayetteville, Charlotte, Jackson, Memphis, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Savannah, Lexington, Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Tallahassee, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Louisville, Saint Louis, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Little Rock, Birmingham, Mobile, Baton Rouge, LaFayette, Montgomery, New Orleans..
And so on.
So why does the South get a Bum rap from the Northeast, when the south is in fact home to far more big cities that the Northeast boasts about so much ?
The big cities are the center of Crime and a lack of educational achievement in BOTH regions, which is to say that, the Urban environment itself is not good.
So if the Northeast wants to know why the South has so much poverty and so many uneducated people, and prone to violence...
How about the Northeast takes a look at what kind of environment they are trying to advocate for, which btw in the Northeast the inner cities are where the problem people live, as well.
The South has many times more of these environments, which is why the South has so many problems, how about the Northeast thinks about that ?
And if those kinds of environments were so great, the South would be the economic jackpot, which it isn't... which further speaks to the fact that those inner cities are the Problem.
And how about the Northeast has such a lower crime rate, because there are only few of those big cities in the Northeast, and those cities are where the vast majority of the existing crime and poverty and low quality, and COSTLY people are located.
Crime, poverty, and a lack of education and achievement and health problems are all costly burdens.
Thank you.
