Yes, they can only vote in certain local elections at this time. Not coincidently, this is only allowed in blue cities. If the Democrats had their way, they would have them voting at the national level as well.

Maybe you didn't realize it, but many cities have benefits that are provided at the local level.

Here are some examples from NYC that are funded by the city, not by the federal or state government:

1/2 priced metro cards for low income
Healthcare access for low income residents
Rent assistance for the homeless
Free early childhood education
Childcare vouchers
Ace's Place - A homeless shelter specially for transgender and gender‑nonconforming individuals with services.

Illegals get to vote for services such as these. You don't think this is some of the draw for people to enter our country illegally and head to NYC where they have a voice in their local government?
