1. Anyone know the source of the phrase "they know not what they do,"?

If not that, then I bet it was a Star Wars movie.![]()
Little did we know how much demand there was for it here.Trump/MAGA is a fascist movement by any reasonable definition.
Well demonstrated by the antifa movement in the Summer of Love. Fascism at its finestLittle did we know how much demand there was for it here.
More than non-Marxist, FASCIST!Non Marxist Movement by design
Yes, fascist against murderers, rapists, invaders, ..Keep up the good work, TrumpLittle did we know how much demand there was for it here.
It has become clear that MAGA literally has its own definitions for words, and the list of examples is long. You can't tell them what the dictionary definition of a word is, because they'll just say something like "dictionaries are communist conspiracies".Dirt doesn't vote. People do.
Nonsense! You kids are doing a great job of keeping it relevant!Another one of the left's favorite catch phrases - "conspiracy theories" Outdated now by at least 10 years.
I actually had a guy telling me that Dictionary dot com defined "nazi" as extreme right wing because it was run by "commies"."dictionaries are communist conspiracies".
I never lie.I'd prefer to be stupid than be a liar like you. Only the later is intentionally evil.
There was a question that produced the OP.......is it possible that the tide of socialism, communsm, the Red Tide, is no longer a subtext, and is impossible for the American public to miss, to ignore, to dismiss.....Trump/MAGA is a fascist movement by any reasonable definition.
Of course it was Luke.I've heard that before. It comes straight out of the Koran, doesn't it?
Or was it Luke 23:34, when Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing,” as they were about to crucify Christ on the cross.
If not that, then I bet it was a Star Wars movie.![]()
Your wish has been granted.I'd prefer to be stupid than be a liar like you. Only the later is intentionally evil.
I don't much care whether one calls Trump's victory a "landslide" or not but I will address what you say about MAGA redefining words. They may or may not be redefining words but that's also not what I'm addressing here. I'm addressing the fact that the left has been redefining words for the last fifteen years or so. The standout examples for me are the words "racist" and "racism".It has become clear that MAGA literally has its own definitions for words, and the list of examples is long. In this case, it's "landslide". When both your margin of popular vote victory AND your percentage of electoral votes won are below historical averages, that is clearly not a "landslide". So they have to come up with their own definitions for the word.
This just doesn't stop. At some point we'll need a freakin' interpreter just to communicate with them.
Yes, the Left over-used RACIST to the point where it became a punchline. They over-used it so much that it created a massive resentment that played out in the 2016 elections. They fucked up. They weaponized PC/Identity Politics, and it backfired. The Right was correct to be annoyed.I don't much care whether one calls Trump's victory a "landslide" or not but I will address what you say about MAGA redefining words. I and others have been saying for some time that these words have lost all meaning because the meaning changes day to day, moment to moment and from person to person, depending on their skin color, political affiliation, underwear brand or any number of other factors. The most moronic, unbelievable and preposterous definition that has somehow gained traction in spite of the fact that it defies logic, reason and established definitions is: One can't be racist without power and authority.
I mean, holy shit. But that's only the most glaring example. Other examples are pretty much any word with the suffix "-ist" or "-ism" attached. You know, usually the ones that give the utterer a false sense of moral superiority.
There was no landslide victory, so your questions and theses are worthless. There was a question that produced the OP.......is it possible that the tide of socialism, communsm, the Red Tide, is no longer a subtext, and is impossible for the American public to miss, to ignore, to dismiss.....
.....and being that America is not Leftist.....
.....that's what led to Trump's landslide victory?
That's the OP's query.
81 million people did not vote , 76.9 million voted for trump. 74.4 million voted for Kamala. About 3 million voted for other candidates. Where is the landslide ? Looks like none of the above won to me.1. Anyone know the source of the phrase "they know not what they do,"?
2. The Presidential elections from Obama through Biden (or whoever was running the White House under Biden) was disheartening not just for Republicans, bur essentially for any who believed in the American ethos- God given rights, individualism, and justice.
3. Take a look at this:
"By the numbers: The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has grown from 7,000 members to 50,000 since President Trump was elected.
At least 46 Democratic socialist candidates and two DSA-backed ballot measures have won their primaries in 2018, according to a list compiled by the DSA.
Some DSA victories this cycle include:
- Of those, 14 were endorsed by the national DSA chapter (but the other were endorsed by their local chapter.)
- Four of their candidates are running for U.S. House; the rest are running for state-level office, like state House, state Senate, and city council.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Julia Salazar in New York
Ocasio-Cortez, the Democratic socialist darling of 2018, has endorsed at least five candidates outside of DSA who have won their primaries, including Ayanna Pressley in Massachusetts, Ben Jealous in Maryland, Stacey Abrams in Georgia, Andrew Gillum in Florida and Ilhan Omar in Minnesota.
- James Thompson in Kansas
- Rashida Tlaib in Michigan
- Sarah Smith in Washington
- Four women in Pennsylvania, all backed by the Philly chapter of DSA, won their primaries for state House: Summer Lee and Sara Innamorato both unseated longtime Democratic incumbents, and Elizabeth Fiedler and Kristin Seale won their races.
The bottom line: The Democratic socialist movement is growing at every level of government."
4. Whether you call it socialism or communism, it isn't American. They threw everything they could at Trump......but something made America do a full stop to the Leftists......
5. Was there a sense in the American subconsciousness....or conscience......that we have gone wayyyyyy too far, and this sure isn't the America we want:
Race and gender preferences
Language police
No punishment for criminals
Open borders
Attacks on the Supreme Court
Transgender sports competitions
Antisemitism
Wealth tax
Cancel culture
Welfare State
Government run healthcare mandates
Sanctuary Cities
Two-Tiered Justice system
