One day he says Bakhmu is almost surrounded and two days later he says he is so short on ammunition Wagner may have to withdraw from Bakhmut and that will cause the whole Russian frontline to collapse and maybe cause Russia to lose the war. You choose to accept his statement about surrounding the Ukrainians because you like it but dismiss his statement about a critical shortage of ammunition because you don't like it. You folks have been counting everything as Russian military from the start, when in fact there have been multiple entities involved all along. The LPR and DPR did brunt of the frontline fighting in the beginning of the special military operation, yet the West counted them as Russian military. Wagner Group is the only part of the Russian frontline that has made any progress so if there was plenty of ammunition it would make no sense for the amounts promised to Wagner not to be delivered. The Russians are attacking fortified positions so when the infantry goes in they will suffer very high casualties and if there is not a very significant artillery barrage first, there is no hope of moving the frontline.

False, a distinction that matters. Losses incurred by mercenaries, the DPR, and LPR are not Russian regulars, so attributing their losses as Russians only serves the purpose of liars and propagandists with false attempts to denigrate the Russian military without cause. Mercenaries are responsible for their own supplies, they do not draw off the national supply chain, you'd have to check how the DPR and LPR do things.
