CORNERED: Judge Orders Trump To Testify Under Oath Over Remarks About Immigrants

Once Trump is sworn in as President he can tell the judge to fuck off, lib FAIL

Not according to Supreme Court precedence, which ruled Bill Clinton was not immune to having to answer to lawsuits while in office.

But then, I know, you thugs believe the law doesn't apply to you. And you're going to thug-rig things so that nobody will for Der Fuerher to obey the law.
Clinton was the defendant in a lawsuit and Trump is the plaintiff in this one, so Trump can drop the suit if he decides so much time testifying interferes with his job as President, but Clinton could not refuse to testify without risking a decision against him. The purpose of the judge's ridiculous order is probably to try to get Trump to drop the lawsuit.

You can't "cancel" a contract because you don't like the other party. That's a reason not to enter into the contract in the first place. And what (the fuck) does Trump's position on illegal Mexican immigrants (not "Mexicans") have to do with the prospects for a SPANISH restaurant?

There is no such thing as a "Hispanic." Any more than there is such a thing as a generic "English." People from Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and other Spanish-speaking countries are as different in their views as Americans and New Zealanders. Lumping them all together as "Hispanics" is ignorant and insulting to all of them.

Assuming there is a written contract, there is nothing Trump can say in a deposition that would have any bearing whatsoever on whether a Spanish restaurant might be harmed by anti-Mexican remarks.

Sure he can... because he feels Trump's comments created a hostile work environment.

Donald Trump Must Give Testimony Under Oath In Restaurant Suit, Judge Rules

The president-elect had tried to get away with not testifying, even though he himself brought the lawsuit.

WASHINGTON ― A judge has ordered Republican President-elect Donald Trump to give a deposition in a lawsuit against celebrity chef Jose Andres stemming from Trump’s disparaging remarks about Mexican immigrants.

District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Jennifer Di Toro ruled on Wednesday that Trump must testify in New York about Andres’ restaurant deal at Trump’s luxury Washington hotel. The deposition can last up to seven hours and will take place in the first week of January.

His lawyers had sought to limit how long Trump could be questioned and what could be covered, contending he was extremely busy ahead of his Jan. 20 inauguration.

But Di Toro said in her order that limits on the deposition could harm preparations by Andres’ lawyers, and that Trump’s own statements were at the heart of the case.

Trump is suing Andres for $10 million over breach of contract after Andres backed out of a plan to open a restaurant in the Trump International Hotel a few blocks from the White House.

Andres, who was born in Spain and is a naturalized U.S. citizen, has said he canceled the project after Trump denounced Mexican immigrants in June 2015 as drug dealers and rapists.

Andres has argued that the comments made it difficult to attract Hispanic staff and customers and to raise money for a Spanish restaurant.

Trump’s transition team did not respond to a request for comment.

Andres broke a contract and this judge is abusing his position.

Trump's statements are irrelevant. Fucking liberal judges.

It's a her. Di Toro is the first married LGBT individual with children who has been approved by the Senate to serve the judiciary.[3]

A former US attorney general and law professor recently pointed out that the founders granted the President broad immunity from lawsuits and legal action, anticipating this might be used to harass a president.

At the time he was speaking of Hillary's corruption and how if elected she would become immune to prosecution for prior and current crimes until her term was up, and if the statute of limitations ran out while she was in office she would walk free. The only recourse while in office would be impeachment.

I don't know your source but mine has impeccable credentials, and he was largely defending Hillary in a bi-partisan legal opinion.

Are you really that dumb? Read more closely.

Go to law school, become a US Attorney General, then spend years teaching constitutional law as a professor, then maybe you will be in a position to dispute the former Attorney General and law professor who spoke at length on this topic, discussion the immunities Hillary would enjoy if she were elected president.

Your opinion vs a former Attorney General and law professor, I'm pretty sure 99.99% of intelligent people will ignore you.

None of which stops Trump from saying I'm the President of the United States so fuck off you hack turd of a judge.

Trumo calls it like it is doesn't he....you gotta love it!
His depo:
"Well, it's really no secret to anyone with an iQ over 8 that 1 in 50 Mexican immigrants contribute to this country in a positive manner...is it?"
End of depo

This is just to rattle his cage. His statements about mexicans have nothing to do with the breach of contract.

A married LGBT Hispanic judge with children. Gee, I wonder how Adolf Trump feels about that?
It's like you don't already know that Trump has no bias against gay people. Hispanic might make her biased, but not him.

"When Mexico sends it's people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people," he said.

And you can prove he was wrong.

I've got 1000 border patrol agents who say he is right.

Trump will be spending more time in a court room than in the oval office over the next 4 years--(if he is not impeached first.) That's his life, sue or be sued.

Trump will eventually have to address the Trump foundation. Prior to the election, the New York State attorney Generals office issued a cease and desist order on the foundation. Apparently they have 2 cancelled checks in the amount of 258K in charitable donations that he used to settle non related legal claims, and purchase 2 full sized portraits of his greatness.
