Core Inflation pushing near 3%

This thread isn’t about Biden.

Why don’t you want to talk about Trump? Embarrassed? Or just waiting for your talking points to regurgitate?

YUP I'm really embarrassed by the following!!!

100 DAYS OF INVESTMENT: $5+ Trillion in New Investment Fuels America’s Future

President Donald J. Trump has secured over $5 trillion in new U.S.-based investments in his first 100 days, which will create more than 451,000 new jobs as he sets the stage for a new era of American prosperity. From advanced manufacturing to cutting-edge artificial intelligence infrastructure, these historic investments — spurred by President Trump’s unwavering commitment to revitalizing American industry — will reinforce the U.S. as the global leader in innovation and economic growth.

The attached URL shows the complete list of $5,198,842 ,000 of 32 companies/countries investments in the USA like this:
  • IBM announced a $150 billion investment over the next five years in its U.S.-based growth and manufacturing operations.
  • Thermo Fisher Scientific announced it will invest an additional $2 billion over the next four years to enhance and expand its U.S. manufacturing operations and strengthen its innovation efforts.

We are still riding on Biden inflation. Trump is able to bring the numbers down but you are bitching. Have you stopped complaining about the price of eggs yet?
If the number goes up, it’s Biden’s fault. If the number goes down, Trump did it.

Does that sum up your hackery?

Inflation was 2.89% in Dec. 2024. It was 2.67% last month.

All the talk of tariffs and the crazy inflation spike is a big dud. Some of us already knew that.
Core CPI was 2.9%.

Not only did Trump chicken out of most of his tariffs, they haven’t had enough time to make their effect know.

So, Gator posts about inflation reaching 3% under Trump but ignored it when it was 9% under Biden?

Covid inflation wasnt fun but it was unavoidable and it only ran 3% the last two years of Biden's reign. The concern is we are choosing to inflate our prices with budget deficits and tariff increases. Seems like that isnt good.

That's a one month jump.

Call me in 3 months if it stays there.

3% core inflation isn't good if it lasts.

People have little capacity left after Biden's disastrous reign.
It's just a data point at this point, but most economists expect inflation from the deficit and tariffs. I assume you agree that growing inflation is a warning sign?

You cherry picked some items instead of all grocery prices.

Why did you lie?
Haha Take it up with the grocery store index that keeps track of these things

You really are desperately pathetic

2.9%.

Not the 9% someone else suggested.

2.95% to be exact. What is the average inflation this year under Trump through June? I'll give you a hint...it is lower than that.

Core Inflation pushing near 3%

Stupid Leftists and their twisted perceptions <facepalm>

There is a BIG difference between inflation caused by the Democrats stealing from the US Treasury and taxpayers any way they can for personal benefit

vs

Inflation cause by Republican fiscally sound efforts to balance budgets and reel in the damage done by democrats in the preceding administration.

Jesus Christ! Even 5 year olds understand this basic causality and remediation process.

Inflation averaged 2.95% in 2024.
Yep, on a downward trajectory heading to 2% goal. Now it has reversed to climb back to 3% and maybe beyond. Only one indicator but it would better to be flat or down than up.

Again, he inherited a downward trajectory and we are all hoping the the reversal and subsequent climb isnt a bad omen. We will see.

Um, wrong again. This doesn't look like a downward trend to me.

Sept. 2024 - 2.44%
Oct. 2024 - 2.60%
Nov. 2024 - 2.75%
Dec. 2024 - 2.89%

Well being an economics major with 2 college degrees, I didn't think Trump meant actually bringing prices down. He meant bringing INFLATION down, which he did do.
Thats what they used to say about Biden.

Except of course, inflation is going up, not down.
